If the guy murdered was an ordinary citizen, she may have been freed.

how you want to spin this case as self defence when she stabbed the guy in the back . And the case lasted for 7 year so nobody can say it was rushed .

It's not about being a street corner prostitute. Her mother is related to a famous actress(Bahareh Rahnama), and a famous director(Asghar Farhadi).
Anyway, she was opportunistic and as she herself has stated, she was having sex to achieve more money, and such stuff. It does not mean being a prostitute on a street corner. Most probably, she was Sigheh to that ex-inteligence guy, and later betrayed him with her boyfriend, then planned to blackmail that guy, but something else has disrupted their scheme. That makes more sense.

Upper class means she already has money so there's no reason to be a prostitute. If she loves sex so much then she can do it with someone she knows instead of going after strangers. Also the man that was killed betrayed his own wife. Either way I think it was bad to execute her.
