Most of these points are interconnected, especially loss of dignity.

Money comes into picture only in capitalist systems, but I have heard the the old-age homes in USA are efficient in care-giving. << @Hamartia Antidote

Old people should not retire themselves but must be alloted appropriate tasks in their society. This will keep them from becoming stressed, feel useless and go into dementia.

As for me, I hope that by 2025 some new technique will be found to prolong a healthy middle or elderly age.

Is not it better to die than lying in bed 24/7 and waiting for death? I am talking about this stage in life when you cannot walk properly, your eyes get blurry and your body become fragile , hearing issue etc . No matter how long you prolong your life but you will be going to face this last stage unless you get sudden/quick death .Suicide is forbidden otherwise i bet many helpless older people would have prefer to end their life than to be burden on others

Its hard for parent to not develop any expectaion from children when they invest their time and energy in them. Having expectation from someone you love and care is natural though it hurt when children fail to meet these expectations

Of course you're right, i have the same feelings but I have a very small family and I realise that I am asking a lot of them in this expensive, highly-worked society to look after me and my wife as well as their own families.

Even current generation of wives are not willing to sacrifice, I have no hopes from the next generation of girls. So I hope for the best but I am planning for the worst.
