OMG! Good to know, I am not the only oldie here, I guess. I am in my 40's.

The only Imran Series books I remember were from Ibn e Safi--didn't he have 'Ibn e Safi, BA' on his book covers? Mazhar Aleem sounds familiar but I don't recall right now.

And, oh, I too remember Farhad Ali Taimoor now! I even bought a book about how to learn telepathy--inspired by Farhad's exploits. Hey, I was very young (and/or innocent) then

This is how it works, with time and different experiences your interests change. I started reading Imarn series in early teens. After reading lot of them for few years my taste changed and I started reading history novels, tariq ismail sagar, A hamid, razia but, poetry etc. Now its been years since I read any at all

Afridi and Hameed's characters were more prominent in ibn-e-safi's work. I mostly read the version written by Mazhar Kaleem. In his work there was love triangle between imran, julia and tanvir. funny comments between suliman and imran. If I remember complete team was Imran, Julia, Tanvir, Safdar, Capt Shakeel, Chuhan, Khawar, Saliah, Tiger, Josaph, Javana, X2(Tahir) fake one

Ibn-e-Safi was the original and his novels were the brainiest. The kind of characters that he developed and the plots were not only original, many of his novels could be converted in blockbusters movies.

Mazhar Kaleem was 'Full of Bull....'

Only author that came close to Ibn-e-Safi was H (Humyuan) Iqbal. This guy went on to publish a monthly digest called Alif Laila Digest; and probably he is also the first one in the Pakistan to create 'Lesbian' protagonist in a novel: Sabiha Bano.
