Bangladesh is such a big country (as in population) and an economy almost similar to Pakistan, yet it has had such an under-funded military. Not sure why.

BD's defense budget is 3 billion dollars. BD's problem is not that it's defence budget is low but how exactly they utilise it. In 2006, Pakistan's defence budget was 3 billion dollars. Compare Pk military of 2006 with BD military of today and decide yourself which one utilized budget effectively.

bold part: It is the truth. BD cannot probably build up its economic muscles if the border is volatile and in a war-like situation. It takes away the economic strength. Let another country in India's west keep on playing its macho flute and win a hundred more wars. However, it is not suitable for a poor country BD that wants to get rid of poverty and put the country on its own two feet.

Hasina has faults, but it is on the domestic political issues. She is good at maintaining good relationship with all the big countries, though she is not successful at winning the Russian and Chinese sympathy on Rohingyas.

Yes, you are correct. @idune and some PDF members from BD love to put cart before the horse. It is a simple arithmetic that bases be built for housing the newly inducted aircrafts. I have a feeling that BAF will shortly purchase new planes.
