Pakistan will not stop these drone strikes. It will further deteriorate already fragile relations with US. The only thing Pakistan can do is to stop US/Nato supply lines for a while which I don't think so it will happen since US Centcom is keen on having relations with Pakistan regardless of Trump's rhetoric.

This drone strike means that what Trump said was not just rhetoric. It could also be that the Pakistan Army authorized the strike. However nothing has come from ISPR till now.

Reality is, Pakistan has never warned US that it will start shooting down their drones. Also PAF chief never said that, all he claimed that they have the ability to do it easily and will only do it when Govt asks so.

This drone strike means that what Trump said was not just rhetoric. It could also be that the Pakistan Army authorized the strike. However nothing has come from ISPR till now.

Drones were being conducted before Trump as well infact their frequency has really gone down in the last 2-3 years including Trump's era. Fact is, US has very limited targets in Pakistan now since most of these militants have fled to Afghanistan after Operation Zarb -e Azm. You should also monitor increase of drone strikes in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province.

HANGU: Two terrorists were killed in a drone strike in Orakzai Agency on Wednesday morning, ARY News reported.

According to officials of the political administration of the tribal agency, two terrorists were killed when a US drone targeted their hideout in Dapa Mamozai area of Orakzai Agency.

Reports said the drone targeted a hideout of the Haqqani Network and those killed were associated with the terrorist outfit.

Last month, a U.S. drone strike near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border killed two people, according to sources.

The drone fired missile on a vehicle in the bordering area of Afghanistan, killing two people sources said. However, it was not clear as to who were targeted in the drone attack.

On October 20, at least 12 suspected militants were reportedly killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.

According to sources, a suspected United States (US) drone fired six missiles, killing 12 militants.

In the same month, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar chief Umar Khalid Khorasani along with nine of his associates, was killed in a drone attack in Paktia province.

PARACHINAR, Pakistan – Pakistani officials and police say two missiles fired from a U.S. drone have struck a home near the Afghan border, killing two militants from the Haqqani network.

Local police chief Ameer Zaman Khan says Wednesday's strike took place in Dapa Mamuzai village near Pakistan's Kurram tribal region.

Two intelligence officials identified the slain militants as commander Ahsanullah and Nasir Mehsud. They say the men were from the Haqqani network of the Afghan Taliban.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to talk to media because of the sensitive nature of the issue.

Pakistan considers U.S. drone strikes a violation of its sovereignty, while the U.S. accuses Pakistan of providing safe havens for militants.

Pakistan denies the charge, saying it acts against militants without discrimination.
