Bangladesh has two special days to celebrate birth of the country. Bangladesh declared her independence on 26th March 1971 after Pakistani armed forces massacred and killed thousands of common people, students, teachers at midnight of 25th March during 'operation searchlight'. Bangladesh was born on 26th March. It was East Pakistan before. So its called 'Independence Day'.

16th December is victory day when Pakistan surrendered to Indian and Bangladeshi joint forces. India also observes the day as victory day as it was the biggest military victory of India against Pakistan which led the creation of an independent country, Bangladesh.

Indeed it is the greatest victory for India in thousand years. It is such a great victory that Mrs. Gandhi proclaimed that revenge of thousand years of Muslim rule has been taken. She further declared that the two-nation theory had been sunken into the Bay of Bengal. According to Islamic Jurisprudence, based on the Quran and Sunnah, Believers and non-Believers in Islam are two nations. This is how Great Muslim States were ruled. It is such an overwhelming capitulation that Modi, being an RSS cadre in 1971, also claims ownership to it!! It is a total trampling over the Crescent and Star, the banner under which millions embraced shehadet, for it was taken down for ever from the soil of Bangladesh. No Bangladeshi Muslim will ever sing a national anthem which proclaims that their land is a citadel of faith or they take ownership of the glorious Muslim past or exalt Allah u Azimusshan for HIS SHADOW!!!

How could be the biggest victory for india and how did it prove the 2 nation theory wrong? If it did then bangladesh would have become a part of india again and Pakistan would cease to exist. Neither of the 2 happened. If anything it re-inforced the 2 nation theory. Because despite the military defeat of Pakistan, india could not reclaim land that was allegedly taken from them during British rule.
