In a country where people care more for some so called alleged threat to some journalist more than the 80 people who have died in the largest city of the country then you just can't have reasonable dialogue with such people.

True. Hamid mir would do more programs on Asghar khan case since it gives him a better chance to blackmail military. Same goes with Balochistan issue. He would do programs on Baluchistan issue for this reason. But no matter what sh!t is happening in Karachi you might not see much programs on this issue since this issue might not be juicy for Mr Mir.

Our PDF friends in Lahore or other parts of the country have no idea what sh!t is happening in Karachi. If they would be living in Karachi like me they wouldn't be posting and discussing lame issues like Asghar Khan case or saying shut up to some journalist.

Society difference.Petraus comes from sexually free society where as pakitani generals comes from sexually segregated society.hence they people will expect a behavior which they think is good in terms of pakistani social teachings from generals in pakistan.
