The two are not even in the same class. let the IAF and not stupid politicians decide what is necessary for the IAF. after all during war you don't see any politician strapping himself up to go fight , do you?

Do you really think that such decisions are made by the people who are going to operate the machines during war? Had that been the case the army might not have tried to sabotage the Arjun Tank project. Who pushed the leaky T-90s down the throat of our cavalry? Who in the right mind decided to issue the RFI for multi-calibre rifles for our armed forces?

Where does the Rafale fit in the SU-30MKI+MIG-29+Tejas+Jaguar+Mirage-2000 combination? Operating too many different platforms is a logistical nightmare. And without a considerable ROI this deal doesn't make any sense.

He was given safe refuge as a political refuge in the USA when Indira Gandhi tried to arrest him during Emergency. But he was then an Indian MP and has pledged his loyalty to the Indian constitution and India.

He did not invent any , the fact that head of Dessault has been charged for bribery and corruption and then when you consider the kind of govt. we have at the center should be enough to raise questions...

Swamy is a publicity hungry politician with an ego whose size dwarfs that of the Qutub Minar. The guy is also very shrewd and often puts out statements which the majority of people want to hear. Whatever he does, he is doing it for the benefit of himself, not for the country. He also gives out sensational statements that he has proof to prove Sonia has billions of dollars. But as with all of his other statements, it is just a cheap publicity gimmick of a professional liar. The corrupt Gandhi family might very well have it, and are doing a good job of keeping it under wraps... disgusting!
But with Anthony in-charge, we can be sure no major corruption is taking place in the defence ministry in this mega multi-billion dollar deal.
