HAL STEALTH DRONE WINGMAN UNVEILED AT AERO INDIA 2021

In a significant developement, Aero India 2021 unveiled a 1:1 model of ambitious HAL Wingman stealth drone for the first time which has an endurance of about 80 minutes and a range of max. 800 km. This range along with a speed of 0.8 mach enable Wingman to penetrate enemy territory within any short time.
Besides it uses indigenious PTAE turbojet engine which is used in Lakshya drone of India.
with 1.3 ton of empty weight this beast can carry a good amount of explosives.Wingman has also a big export potential as it costs just 5 million dollar which is the cheapest at its category..

Well Wingman drones are not being designed around the world solely for strike packages...

They are being designed to be used to carry sensor packages... Such as intercoms... extra radar which can fly far a head than the planes.. and other small sensors...

They are being made for both, the one we are making can carry 2 SAAW bombs which is a Smart Anti Airfield weapon.

The endurance is too short

Well actually no country confessed their loyal wingman endurance time so far and it is under developement project in all countries.
Besides the speed which it has can cover a wide area in this limited time..

Are you serious? This needs to be enhanced to be used in a wingman, Lakshya drone is smaller in size compared to CATS Warrior.

India is yet to make a simple target drone surveillance or attack drone. The drone programme initiated in 2000s called nishant failed...

Now they are launching stealth drone drone swarm and loyal wingman drone without completing the previous programs

Most of Indian defence programs from my childhood like arjun and tejas are yet to bear any fruit or so rotten that already obsolete....

They keep throwing these fictional projects to stroke their ego and propaganda purposes and that's about as far 90 percent of these will go
