In 2006, Hezbollah used old-fashioned systems such as shoulder-launched missiles and anti-aircraft shells that gave Israel's air force nearly free reign over Lebanon. In recent years, dozens of Hamas operatives have trained in Syria, learning to operate its advanced anti-aircraft missiles. Last year, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hezbollah also had the SA-22 system, a Russian-made antiship and antiaircraft missile and radar system.

Israel does not have to worry about them, the increase in the strength is for Syria and Iraq.

Hezbollah fought a limited war against Israel in 2006. They fought a defensive war and drew Israeli forces inside some prepared ambush areas. Overall they lost a large number of their professional troops and great deal of Lebanon was destroyed because Israel can do that and will do it( none of neighboring countries had the strength to fight israel). In 2016 Hezbollah has gained knowledge in more conventional style warfare, they learned how to employ artillery and use tanks. They may have received training on some sophisticated systems in service with Syrian forces. Having said that, it's not like hezbollah will be using conventional war against israel. That would simply be foolish. Hezbollah will never be able to fight israel like it has done in Syria. In Syria hezbollah had superior quality and due to Syrian Army it had the terrorists outgunned. A war with Israel would not be anything like syria, it will look like 2006 except Israel has worked hard to fix it's deficiency in whatever. Hezbollah has gained experience as well but not sure if it was the kind of expertise they could use against the IDF.

In short you won't see hezbollah armour rolling down the Lebanese countriside, nor you will see them using artillery in the open. They would be obliterated in no time.

Interesting. I thin hezbollah would still loose but they would really hurt israel.

By all accounts Israel lost in 2006!

Israel get's kicked out of every part they invaded in 2006 against a force with NO airpower, No Armored Units, No Helo's...! An Israeli warship is hit against a force that has no warships!
Hezbullah stockpile increases in numbers, range, payload & accuracy. Hezbullah support, Political power, man power, funding & popularity also increases.

And yes, Israel can drop bombs & destroy a bunch of buildings & have a lower casualty rate but never in modern history has that = to victory in a war!

is it wise for hezbollah to get that "big"?
In "big" i mean like an "regular army", with armored vehicles and so on...?
it is fact that hezbollah is so strong because it is not an "regular" army, it works in "cells", it very mobile, its fast, its flexible....
there are interviews of very desperate zionist soldiers from 2006 lebanon crying "we are fighting against a ghost.." (you cant target ghosts.....)
all that things made hezbollah so strong against the zionists, will it remain so strong with much heavier gear, with armored divisions, which can be neutralised with UAVs/helicoptres/planes....?
we will see..

Some of these weapons are pure millitary grade and for a rag tag terrorist party to get hold of these is dangerous..it only proves that Hezbollah is a real growing threat..

If you manage to get your missile forces large enough & accurate enough so it becomes a real deterrent then yes you can start to work on having Armored Units!!!!! But you need a large and accurate enough missile force that you would be able to take out an Israeli Air Force base in response to any attack on your armored divisions!!!!!
Hezbullah is now basically a part of the Lebanese government & a part of it's military!

LOL! Saudi fools!!!!!!!!!!! It's only dangerous to the Israeli dreams of invading Lebanon & Saudi's delusions & the beggars funded by the Saudi's!!!!
Hezbullah is support by half of Lebanon even Christians in Lebanon prefer Hezbullah to deluded Saudi Supporters!!!!!!! Filth of the earth!!!!!!!!!!

why so , after the syrian war ends , israel will be the focal point of muslim attention again , no matter how devastated syria will be

No really, proxy wars will continue and what weapons hezbollah has , at least ones we saw are not modern. Those hezbollah tanks are good enough for fighting takfiri thugs but not a modern army. Israel as it is can definitely defeat all surrounding Muslims and take on even those away from their borders. As it is the USA will continue to strengthen Israel . As of now Israel has a complete strategic superiority over any possible enemy. This superiority will only increase for the foreseeable future in my opinion.

If you look at the news of new weapon sales to muslim countries, the USA always stresses the fact that they will help keep Israeli superiority intact. Look who got the f35 before anyone else. Not even the UK or other NATO forces got them first.
