Gwadar trade linkages and possibilities

That is correct, but what good is such a deep port when its capacity lies mostly idle?

Have patience, its not running away nor is its strategic importance n position.
Trade has been going since the man has developed itself into different Civilizations n it will continue till the end of times as long as man is there on this universe.

We r now in the right track by giving it to China for management n have improved relations with iran vastly, so expect good results in next 5-10 years.

These two decisions will play a pivot role in getting our economy back on track.

Gawadar will rise to importance as one of Pakistan's major ports in due course, but the rest of the claims of "strategic importance" are falsely overblown. The world has passed Gawadar by with other developments in commerce patterns.

Gawadar will become Asia's most important n busiest port once it is fully operational. But nothing happens overnight its just a Baby now n tomorrow it will become a Giant man.
Just have patience next 5 years r very important for our economy n what i n my fellow analysts think is that we r in the right direction for that.

So as of now just Chill.

I agree with you that Gawadar is important for Pakistan's economy, but nobody else.

Let it become operational first then u will know.

Ports take time to develop chk out history of Karachi port that how old is it……
Gawadar will now develop fastly as It's under Chineese and they plans to import from here……
It's stretigically very important and also gives PN a solid platform to avoid blockade and mre chances of counter measures……:coffee:

Sure, we all have been waiting for so long for Gawadar to become operational already, what's a few more decades?

So please tell me what will the Chinese import through Gawadar and how will they carry those goods to their country almost two thousand kilometers to the north?

...
Now, Turkey, Serbia, Ukrain and Caucaus region, ME countries(including even Iran to neutralize GCC effect)and CARs including Russia n China r very very interested in this land route for trade with central, Southern and Eastern Africa, Far East, Pacific region and Oceania Region.
...

Which route? Are you also recommending what the OP said about using Gwadar port to transport goods through Iran. Where's the benefit for Pakistan in this?

We should be working on developing our own infrastructure to a level that it becomes the most viable option for trade.

the route im talking abt is Istanbul to Quetta railway link.
This route from Quetta goes to Zaidan in iran then to isfahan then tehran n then to ankara in turkey n istanbul and from this city it goes to Sofia which is bulgarian capital n so on to EU.

Like i said we have taken the right decisions just now so wait a while to give them their fruit.

If we're linking China to Europe via rail network that passes through all major markets, then we're undermining Gwadar too. A lot of Europe bound goods are bypassing the sea. Will the remaining exports to GCC and Africa be viable enough for Gwadar's operation?

About bold part; please see the map of world first where Pak, Iran, Turkey n eastern europe lie.

GCC is a temporary business as long as oil is there also a very very small market. The EU will find herself in need of bigger markets for future n thats why they r doing everything they can to exploit the markets of india, indonesia n other far eastern regional countries n the cheapest n fasted way of trade is by Railways.

So even though they appose Gawadar maybe today but tomorrow their need is make them come towards Iran and Pakistan.
Hence this Rail route will become very very important.

It seems that the way for China to East Europe is through Russia and CAR, not Pakistan, Iran or Turkey. And both Russia and China are making progress in integrating their rail systems more closely, including automatic axle changes for whole trains to speed up gauge changes. And Gawadar doesn't even picture in any of that goods transport.
