Thanks!

we can start with palm
No thanks! That thing wont survive! It isnt a temperate plant!

I planted this tree 18 months ago, and today it has grown into a monster beyond my expectation.
In few months it may try to mingle with the high power lines, so it looks like i misjudged its planting location. I may have to remove it completely.
So if you are looking for a full grown tree to be in 15 months then this is your go. But plan your location properly, it needs space.

I don't know English names but as far as Punjab is concerned, Taaly, Kicker, Neem, Bakayn, Peepal, Bohad, Bairi etc. are native. These days we see mostly safaida which is not native but being planted because it's cheap.

I have heard of Neem and Peepal only rest are new to me :agree:

This tree is in abundance in BD and very well loved. It comes in poetry all the time. It's called Krishnachura in BD.

Its not that quick and simple. I don't work with trees but same principle may apply:

I worked with wheat and barley. UK tried to grow Swati barley in Wales ....but due to winds it toppled....so not every variety of any plant can survive any weather...that is why you need to research local and plant those for best results

Nobody needs weeds ..We did lose some trees there was some article few years back claiming due to deforestation we lost some species
I think the Australian trees are doing fine

I like those Japanese cherry blossom trees. We should grow those all over too. They've been successful in the states too.

It is not right there is a reason why ALLAH grows certain types in certain areas!

We arent looking into ornamental! Plus we dont have Japanese weather!

Safaida (Eucalyptus) is not the only one who suck water from Ground every plant and tree does its a misconception that its sucking all of our water generally people thinks that. safaida is one unique beautiful tree with nice wood and if you cut this tree it grows back.
Friend you are wrong there.
Every tree sucks water from ground level but eucliptus sucks underground water for transpiration.
And frankly it is not a beautiful looking tree.
Royal horticulture society does not encourage planting eucliptus trees too. When there are so many options and flowering trees we always have to go for this As we already have a shortage of water.
I love huge green trees u like many who just love ornamental palms.
But eucliptus is one to go.
Again every tree grow back of you cut it from the top and infection doesn't seep in

But they are beneficial for the wildlife too. Fruit trees would give the bird populations and other animals a boost.

you need to think long term not just aesthetic...

Not all types of trees survive all kinds of weather and predation....

Some trees dont have a predator and thus can spread like a jungle - occupying the niche available and indirectly effect the natural ecosystem by out-competing with native species.
