1. Well after my grade 10 report card i have to select courses for next year, grade 11 which is the transition to university courses. My parents like themselves want me to either become a doctor or pharmacist.
2. But i though am an A student in science cannot keep my interest rate in Physics and Chemistry which are vital later on. My future goals personally are to study politics, analytical sciences and economics.
3. Please, anyone who can do so guide me of the careers in Pakistan government related to the subjetcs mentioned as my preferences. A very stressful time it is but i know you people won't let me
What country are you in now? im assuming Pakistan
1. Do all sciences and work your hardest because it will keep your options of being a doctor open because you cant become a doctor (or have very low chances) unless you do Chemistry and Biology (and a little bit of fizix). For e.g. if you decide later end of yr 12 nah i dont wana be a doct, u can easily take up economics in uni without having done it in school (i have). For god's sake dont become a pharmacist, if you want to become a doc and miss out, just do business.
2. Man how can you say that about Fizix
the only subject i did well at in school. Look man fizix is good if your thinking of doing economics past the undergrad level (and if your thinking of only doing econ. to under grad level, dont even bother, no one's gonna hire u as an economist wiht only undergrad degree).
Also another word of advice, do as much maths as you can in highschool (i dont know whether they have levels of it? do the highest level you can) coz maths becomes much harder to pick up later on when you will be stressed for time.
One thing i havent mentioned though is if you dont have the money or connections to do a business degree (economics/finance/accountancy) outside of Asia (preferable U.K./U.S./Australia maybe NZ). If your forced to study in Asia, stick to I.T. or engineering or become a doc like mum always says (day and night and day again).
3. If you can get a phd done in economics from a uni in u.s. or australia you will be sitting on $90,000 australian a year starting salary.
