Perhaps they should have got Bahria Town designers to do the aircraft interior. @Levina

Well it may not be, because in the picture, this furniture was from the late 80's.
1. I knew its old furniture.
2. I know what to expect in such furniture designs.

They weren't expecting a club, but a place with warm interiors.
You still havent got it.

I really don't understand what you want to say. Take it easy.

Prolly because you were quick to assume that i was in here to criticize you missed my post #2 on this thread>>>
Decent interiors. But it definitely needs more lights for its customers at night.
They could have used more mirrors and better looking tables and chairs.

I dont see any spot lights or provisions for LED strip lighting either.
The theme could have been made a lot livelier.
I'm assuming there was a budget constraint or that the restaurant is away from the city's hustle bustle.

I know my job too well. I have been in the field for more than 6 years now. You dont teach me how this design could have been improved upon. Lol

Don't mean to demean the interiors but i expected better. I have seen a lot of Pakistani houses with much better interiors ergo the expectation.
You are missing the point!
The design is NOT meant to be made a lot lovelier, it is a dining hall carved out of a grounded airplane! The basic level simple furniture, square tables, just the right amount of glass and ornamentation do gives it an elegant look and keep the basic theme alive as well. Loved what they did with it! Wont have liked too much LEDs and disco lights anyway! :P

LED strip lighting is used for hidden lighting and isn't as loud.
I never suggested DISCO lights,au contraire I had suggested spotlights (prolly of a smaller dia).
The furniture looks very ordinary.
I really think authorities could have got a much better job done by the contractors involved here.
Like I said earlier "it's decent". But it could have been a lot better.

Ciao

I was kidding, you missed my point. :)

It is meant to give that basic look, anything extravagant or even close to it would have been overwhelming and would have killed the actual charm of the hall, IT IS IN A BOEING 747!! :woot: The interiors have to be kept basic so that the focus remains on the big thing, you do not seem to be getting this point. :)

There is always room for improvement. I wont say that this is the absolute best they could have done but it is quite good to me!

Regards!

Glad you understand the basics but I must say your imagination is poor. (Sorry!)
They could utilised the space by using better furnitures which could have done justice to the aircraft's interiors.
But the lack of provision for lights is something that I really am not able to wrap my head around.
Lack of creativity is very evident here. Most of the stuff seems to have been bought from stores and nothing looks customised.

I guess you have never been to such a themed restaurant before?
The point if:
  1. ANYTHING that will over power the main charm of that place (in this case it is the 747) is a BIG NO NO!!
  2. This includes any bright lights, ornamentation, furniture, wallpapers and even music background. People sitting there are not there to experience a posh dining experience but to eat in a restaurant made INSIDE a Boeing 747.
