The Italian agency "Nova" said that the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dundias, will visit Cairo on June 18, to sign an agreement to demarcate the maritime borders with Egypt.

The agency noted that Nikos Dundias, visiting Cairo on June 18 to resume negotiations with the Egyptian authorities on the agreement on the demarcation of maritime borders between the two countries, and in an interview with "Antena TV", he said that after signing the agreement to designate the exclusive economic zones signed between Greece and Italy, Nikis Dundias announced He would visit Egypt to obtain a similar result.

According to the head of diplomacy in Athens, yesterday's agreement between Italy and Greece certainly angered Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Dundias said that "Italy has fully adopted an interpretation of international law as understood by Greece," and that only Turkey insists on this unilateral vision.

On Tuesday, the Greek Foreign Minister and his Italian counterpart, Luigi de Mayo, signed an agreement on maritime borders to delineate the borders of the exclusive economic zone between the two countries. And Dundias said afterwards: "Setting the borders of maritime areas with all our neighbors in the context of international law is a constant goal of this country (Greece)."

For his part, Greek government spokesman Stelios Pitsas praised, at a press conference yesterday, the agreement, describing it as a development of historical significance.

The newspaper pointed out that this agreement paves the way for Greece and Italy to explore and exploit marine resources, and also paves the way for Greece to reach a similar agreement with its neighbor Albania.

It is noteworthy that Dundias and de Mayo met in Rome last February to discuss means of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector in the eastern Mediterranean region, as Greece and Italy have a partnership in the East Mediterranean gas pipeline project.

This comes after months of tension in the eastern Mediterranean region due to conflicts over natural resources, and a complex diplomatic crisis arose between Turkey, Greece and Cyprus.

It should not happen.. but Turkey might be looking for it as it is desperate for money.. its economy is not doing well and its moves in Qatar, Somalia, Syria(it is understandable to the extent of its borders), and now Libya and more..are being closely watched by Arabs from North Africa to the ME..It looks like another Iran.. nothing less.. One is trying to expand its revolution and the other its wet dream of Khalifat hiding its desperation for Oil and gas..

Ur simply not in a position to do anything, ur economies have fully collapsed, ur wealth funds are loosing their money, hundreds of thousands of expats are leaving ur gulf countries. Egypt itself is an economic sinkhole with neither tourism nor remittances so- and this is actually interesting because despite ur economy fully collapsed and reliant on the IMF ur still going after arms procurements, that alone shows what a failed state Egypt is. Furthermore u steadily divert cash from the wealth funds to keep ur budget afloat and as things stand u will simply have to accept that other nations will rule over u. Not to mention the ethiopians going full GERD.

As the saying goes, the only thing which changes when it comes to ur countries are the countries who rule over u, we want to have the bases in Libya and Somalia and we will get them.
