Fascism and racism are different doctrines to be honest. Fascism is about being authoritarian and having strong state control over public life and administration. Fascist Ideas like the mixed/controlled economy was adopted by most post WWII West European nations esp the UK and Sweden. Racism is about discrimination ethnic groups on the basis of phenotype (does not have to be about skin color). Racialism is not racism! But it's about the scientific grouping of races based not only on ethnicity but also geography and IQ levels.

From my experience, all nationalism seems to do is cause a rift between different nationalities/ethnicity's (sometimes even religions), raise paranoia against anyone different, and make other groups feel unwanted.

I am not sure if you are referring to me with this post (because you quoted me), but I didn't say anything about racism.
I'm not talking about racism either, I'm talking about nationalism specifically. I don't see both of them as the same, but I do have the feeling that racism, fascism and ultra-nationalism is an amplified form of nationalism.

My opinion in my previous post about nationalism is based on my experiences with various people around me, people on internet (like a forum such as this), and from myself (I used to have nationalistic feelings as well but I grew out of it).
