You're thinking too much from a Turkish perspective only. Like a Turk!
Merkel-Erdogan agreements, part of them covers Turkey's obligation to limit passage of refugees to an already bad in financial sense and severely overburdened with refugees/migrants Greece.
So, any "making Greece look bad" is negated at start already by the benefits of having to take care of less people passing through their country.
On top of that, they are currently getting relaxation of their reform commitments because of this crisis as a sweetener on top.
This all makes more sense if you know that public opinion is changing in Europe in regards to the numbers of migrants and their origin countries. As a consequence, immigration/asylum policies are being tightened and doors are literally closing more and more every day. There are already strict daily numbers of people allowed through and anyone not from Syria/Iraq/Afghanistan is rejected at Macedonian border as of yesterday. The remainder of the migrants, originating from Morocco and as far as Pakistan/Bangladesh are now facing getting stuck on Greek side of Macedonia/Greece border.
In any case, this is direced from elsewhere, Berlin probably.
