Its not only a good news for China but also for Vietnam, Japan and Philippines. The more warships Chinese send to Europe the less they have for Asia. I think the NATO will begin to question chinese intention, especially the arch enemy of Greece: Turkey.

In light of that, greek interest to hosting chinese warships becomes apparent. A turk response will come. Inevitable.

Realistic or not, every nation should look for it own interest after all and be pragmatic. A symbolic gesture is sufficent for China, a journey of thousand miles start with a single step... we can further develop our relation with Greece

What is your problem ? more correctly what is the problem of Chinese with Turks as I see a general hostility ? Turkey was never hostile with China, we are not even close, I heard they teach Turkey negative in schools because of kinship with Uyghurs, may be thats the case.

Kinship with Uyghurs? if we go by your so call kinship logic, then we Chineses are more less relate to you as well because when Army of Tang dynasty defeated Turks, we have captured alot clans and tribes and incorporate them into our kingdom, only a faction of Turkish armies and people escaped China and went spread their genes in Central Asia and Anatolia.
We have more turkish blood people than Turkeys + all central Asians combined...doest that mean we're related???
