It will be just the usual tiny insignificant purchase. How much can you really buy that matters when the military budget is only about 2 billion a year to begin with?

I would assume 1 squadron of Mig 29 UPG or Mig 35 will be most likely.

Max pressure should be put on SHW to not go for a Chinese platform.

Turn B'desh AF more and more russian-based over time since Russia is a good friend of India.

purchase is made based on Based interest of armed forces, no influence works.
For AF, Russia is best choice, so there will be russia aircraft.
For Navy, China is best choice, that is why you see chinese ships despite your crying over it lol
For Army, it is mix

Bangladesh navy is basically a coast guard, and Bangladesh airforce is basically a small hobby army aviation corps.

How you shift around/decide on a few 100 million dollars every few years is really of no major concern to anyone...since even Myanmar will probably thrash you black and blue in a conflict....and some of your lot are talking about "skirmish" with India

People say it will be the Su-30. That will be the first dual cockpit fighter our pilots/technicians will see. And for essential repairs and spares we will need to turn to SHW's bosom friend India. Russians will always act too preoccupied. Having same inventory as India's seem to be policy of the current rulers.

Even if they choose Su 30 from Russia than the spare and maintenance will not be necessary to always look towards Russia. China has a huge fleet of Su 30 and J 11 series, also they gave spare parts and maintainance facilities. It wouldn't be much of a big deal by than.



The fighter could be J 10 too.Lets see after they declare the decision to purchase the exact aircraft.

India actually has a navy to have accidents with ...

We are not in the business of having just a coastguard so we can claim accidents are low.

Thats how we won that war that put Bangladesh on the map in the first place .

This small spendings do not affect anyone not even by a smaller margin

BD operates Mig-29's. so it is logical that they will buy more mig-29's or may go for mig-35's because it is based on mig-29.
