govt remove chairman of FBR and state bank

By Christine Fair, says it all. There might be a day when Modi may accept Islam, but Christine Fair to be even 1% Fair in her analysis about Pakistan and its Army is never going to happen.

I dont bother who has written it as long as what is written is True and can be verified through OTHER sources.

For Example :

Pakistan Elections: How Imran Khan Won With the Army’s Help ~ https://www.bloombergquint.com/quint/pakistan-elections-imran-khan-prime-minister

The hard core fact is, IK is Military's Choice. Period. Can you Deny It ?

.
100% sir why only 60%

Selling partial share along and transferring control to private sector is also useful, Look at PTCL despite that it's customer services are still far from ideal (because it has monopoly over landlines) but still are thousands time better and generating profits, we sold only 26% share of PTCL (along with management control) and got ride of tensions, Now state is getting 62% share from profit plus tax revenues from it.

Elected, Selected or Military in power - none of anybody else's business as long as majority of Pakistani accepts it.

Might be military choice but army had no hand in him getting elected so it doesn't matters. He won the elections fair and square.

Obviously. How many elections did pakistan have since past 70 years ? And I think there are several who were "Overthrown" after the very same "free and fair" elections. .... No. ?

But thats your country.

My only point is, in every article replace the word "Govt" with "PA" for better understanding, as long as IK is in.. so called "Power".

Its like "majority" accept Jin Pin or "Putin" as President !

But its fine. I agree its not 'my' business. but Lets be fair.... IK = Army.

Army may have controlled the country in past for so many years and even now if they had a hand in getting IK elected then kudos to them. Not for the past but for getting IK elected because he's the only non corrupt party leader in Pakistan and also our only chance of getting out of this mess.

Good in the same spirit Christine Fair also dismissed IAF claims of F16 kill and reputable western journalists like Lara Seligman also reported:

https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/04/04/did-india-shoot-down-a-pakistani-jet-u-s-count-says-no/

But as you said since this is not your version of “truth”, the same journalists are suddenly biased in Pakistans favor and collectively lying to save Lockheed Martins F16s reputation.

There is a difference between being Army’s favorite and calling the whole election sham. The hard core fact is that Modi can also be called as Indian Army’s choice due to his hard line stances, but that doesn’t mean Indian elections are a sham now. The same Pakistani army worked with anti army/establishment parties like PPP and Pmln for 10 years. And IK finally got in power after 3+ decades and is surviving on a very thin majority in the parliament. There are other reasons for IK victory: incumbency factor, majority voters being youth which wanted change, sharif family getting embroiled in corruption scandals etc.

Well, How old are you ?
Their is no point to continue with some kid.

Food For Thought :

- Who Dare speak against Musharraf's take over ?
- Who spoke against Hanging of Bhutto ?
- Who spoke against what was done against an "elected" govt in 1971 ?

+1 for that. I Agree with you.
I never questioned about the best option, in the current situation.

If you think Im one of those Indians who think and stick to what is spoken publically. Think Again.
Lets not mix things here.

Pakistan was "winning" until the last day in 71.
In Kargil, too pakistan won despite of achieveing nothing.

Lets be fair, in case of war, the "lens" through which certain observations are made can be partial / biased.

So dont mix the F16 incident with the Universal Truth that pakistan is Ruled by Army.
The latter is a Fact. No Questions here.

Well, I agree that the author could have chosen different words to paint the picture.
However, as I said My one and only point being IK is a puppet of the Army.

I still agree, he is the Best choice....No Second thoughts about that.

Whatever the age is, at-least I am not brain dead who think 210 million people are zombies and follow the dictate like robots.

Before presenting your food of screwed up thoughts, make up your mind (if you have any working cell in brain) that

1. Either people of Pakistan support Army under duress or actually people of Pakistan love their armed forces?

It's certain that military can't scare 210m people and impose herself with force, because Indian Occupation of Kashmir tells us how such forced occupation looks like. So, only non-Saffroni logical conclusion is that Armed forces enjoys support and respect among majority of Pakistanis.

2. Either it's people of Pakistan who elect civil governments or it's Army who select them?

If as per you it's always Army who select government in Pakistan and people don't dare to speak then why people will care if Army decide to remove their selected government? Or non-Saffroni logical reason is that people vote for politicians, get frustrated because of their performance and don't mind getting them booted out

You may have wet dreams that people of Pakistan will start hating their armed forces but those will remain dreams. People may have differences with Army, may criticize it but when sh!t hits the fan people of Pakistan after God trust armed forces despite their short comings and screw up - that's reality in Pakistan which you can't see wearing saffron glasses. So - election, selection, military rule whatever form of governance in Pakistan is, it have support from masses and is internal matter of Pakistan.

Well, You are not robots. But close.
I think "helpless" is the right word. You do have a voice, but its crushed.

Musharraf, didnt capture Nawaz, he captured the "voice" of Pakistan.
Im sure, pakistani's didnt accept it... as you said... ROBOTs.. bit still they were "helpless" and accepted it.

See, I dont question love/hate for armed forces in Pakistan.
I merely explained the Ground Situation.

Respect or no respect, Your Economy, Your Civil Affairs Whole country is being run by Army... Directly or in Directly.

Remember the recent DGISPR statement ?

2. Either it's people of Pakistan who elect civil governments or it's Army who select them?

Firstly, Americans... even Chinese have difference have opinion with you.. on certain/several topics ( Islamic issues n all ) are they too a part of... Saffron Brigade... ..No.. Right.. ? So...On one side you are telling me to change the 'lens' for Pakistan....while sticking with "saffron" lens for yourself. Ironic.

Secondly, The Present and past History of Pakistan Clearly Dictates who rules Pakistan. Election do take place in China and Russia. But then....it is what it is.

I dont question the democratic fabric of Pakistan, but don't fool yourself that democracy in Pakistan.. is the Same as Democracy in UK.

.
Systematically all the levers of finance are being handed over to IMF guys. Good for IMF.

.
I think the Finance Minister has a plan , and that is why he is being supported

IMF funding , when it is correctly implemented is suppose to be a temporary measure to correct illness in your economy

It is not meant to be the budget for your country

He is likely placing people in position who understand this and will help control the financial mismanagement in country by balancing the import/export books

Ever heard of Bangladesh model.

.
I don't know why they removed the SBP governor. Maybe he was complaining about all the government borrowing from the central bank which is inflationary in nature?
If that is true he would have complained when PMLN was borrowing money form the central bank. The thing is simple he was appointed by PMLN and now IMF wants the central bank to be completely independent and this is the first step. Tariq Bajwa is a PMLN chamcha if you would have worked in banking you would have been aware of this.

.
In my opinion Imran still needs another 10 years to understand the nitty gritty of Governance. He had the opportunity to learn some in KPK but missed the train. We as Pakistanis love Politicians with good oratory skills and personalities. But tend to forget that running state affairs is a different ball game to modelling and good shouting as it involves the lives of all of us.
I for one have listened to all Imrans speeches many a times and found no coherence in any of them, which for me is a tantamount to intellectual dishonesty. They say charity begins at home but what we see is a whole army of crooks running the Tabdeeli Brigade with HQ in Bani gala. Mr Clean Imran also needs to come clean on his daily expenses,Party funds collections,Zakat money utilisation and his friendships with effluent mafias.
Is Imran a politician the answer is no. Apart from the elites can a common Pakistani live like this for long the answer is no. Should we trust in the SOLO abilities of Imran the answer is no. Should we remove this Govt immediately the answer is no.What should we do?.
Political instability has caused HAVOC to Pakistan Economy in the past, this formula is an instant poison for our nation. If Imran wants to be remembered as a saviour he needs to let go of his EGO. The remedy of all ills of Pakistan lies in our COLLECTIVE WISDOM. No one is perfect and no one is an ANGEL in Pakistan. Lets unite all segments of the society,a real test and benchmark of true leadership. A vehicle with 12 cylinders will not run well if 11 of its cylinders seize to work. For Pakistan to rocket we need all cylinders blazing.
The above comments are not meant to malign anyone or put anyone down.As they say "a nation or a household does not receives Allahs blessings if it constantly abuses and hurts others". A food for thought for all of us.
