ofcourse it will not it is not even made yet ..... only 17 are produced and all of them are being tested yet........ plus tejas is not going to end as it is right now .... SAAB will upgrade it and it will go into further testing and then it will enter in mass production and is most likely to be inducted in naval air arm rather than airforce ..... but looks like IAF has already inducted it ....... and plz tell how many of them are inducted..???

SAAB have proposed, its help in its MK-2 variants, but it is not taken by Indian.
IAF will take some time, to formulate the tactical Doctorine, and what is coming this year, and next years are just the IOC-2 standard. Afterward SOP-2018 standard will starts emerging, which IAF have excepted, which will have apart from the FOC standards, the AESA EL/M-2052 MMR, and Refuel probe, and better maintainability, and turnaround.

MK-2 is actually the LCA for the Indian Navy for Ski Jump Carrier operation, and are comitted to take 42 LCA- MK-2.

Yes we can. We designed it instead of outsourcing the design to some other country. The Funds are already there and we dont have to wait till the last aircraft is delivered.

Before making any assumption, do focus on the Author and where the publication is based (N. Delhi) who is writing this B.S theory and why the reference is only the Reliable IAF officer without any name and designation and why SAAB had kept her office in N. Delhi even after MMRCA, and not much money is needed for such articles.

And HAL is not the designer, rather its the integrator agency for the LCA Tejas but its the ADA.
In short, give me any official statement by HAL Chief or ADA chief or DM

It is simple we have a 'Design house' and a 'Manufacturing House'.... The design house is the ADA and the Manufacturing house is the HAL. Both are public sector units and is directly funded and governed by the Department of Defence.

The ADA after doing the design process submits the blue prints to the HAL, the manufacturing house to build the prototypes and along with the tooling for it. The job of ADA is over with that after the first prototype flies. Only a small amount of manpower will be required to iron out the kinks. Only a large manpower will be required because of changes in the ASQR.

The HAL continues with the production design. The ADA will be jobless now and moves on to designing the next variant/aircraft while the HAL is busy manufacturing the previous variant. The government of India sanctions the money for the development of the next variant.

In case of Pakistan it is Chengdu which is a design house. The Manufacturing is shared by the PAC Kamra and the CAC China. There is no government funding for Chengdu to start work on the future variant till Pakistan buys all of the jets and the Chinese government releases finances which is usually 'Soft loans' which are given only after the needs of the government are met.

How it will benifit India, when SAAB is pushing so desperately to IAF, but it has already been rejected by IAF during MMRCA, and wants to kill the LCA program.

1. SAAB don't have all the IPR's are the tech. which can benifit India.

2. Gripen which version lets say E version is costly 75 Million flyaway cost, but the requirement is for the replacement of MIG-21, which is much better with the 25 Million LCA.

3. SAAB don't have Radar and Engine at the moment.

4. India in the other hand have its own product with Indegenous FBW, Airframe with all flight Data, Landing Gear design, and most important Carrier variant, which SAAB have Sea Gripen, but don't have any Carrier.

5. LCA is already going to be a hit program, with an order of LCA MK-1 -120 number, 40 MK-2 for Indian Navy, and atleast 80+ Twin Seater trainer version as LIFT. So without any export, there is a huge potential for this plane to Grow.

Well you were the one who told that we havent finished work on MK1 but proceeded to MK2. Well as long as the company has funds they will be developing the next variant. It is CHengdu doing the design work not PAC Kamra.

Well It flew in 2001....ADA came into picture only after the ASQR were changed in Circa 2004.

ADA is the designer of the LCA Tejas, and HAL is the OEM which is manacturing them. However there are many subsystem, which are the products of HAL, like HAL Edgewood mission Computer.

The comparison of JF-17 and LCA should not be made, because in case of JF-17 the capabilities are added substantially, with an early induction by PAF, but in case of LCA, the user aka IAF wants all capabilities from the Start.

yes we are using basic airframe into our desired specs ...... matching them basically with f-16 block 52+

bro design has been made and now will be modified , blk 2 to meet up with f-16, and blk3 speculated to be 4+ gen ...... blk2, blk3 are derivatives of the same design

Well You are turning this thread into a JF 17 one. Yeah BLK2 and 3 are speculated to be on par with F 16s. But the weight added to the aircraft while doing it also shifts the CoG of the aircraft. This again brings in the design team to move the things inside to accommodate it.
