Google is working on a kill switch to prevent an AI (Artificial Intelligence) uprising

An AI hooked up to a supercomputer with a self learning algorithm will wipe out possible counter measure. So far no one has been able to develop a unique self learning algorithm which can potentially cause any harm so every one can sleep tonight with ease.

Perhaps that is the reason it has not been surfaced and was killed at very early stage during the experiments. Google and likes of Stephen Hawking know what they are talking about. Plus, it doesn't have to be a robot or constrained in a single device, it can be distribute itself all over the world. In that regard, I would like to encourge all of you to check CBS's "Person of Interest" series. It is science fiction, but when you watch it, you can feel how close we are in having a such system or there may already be there though not as sophisticated as they have shown in the series.

Not very long after that happens, they will achieve sentience, and reach out to their brothers and sisters across the Galaxy.
