KARACHI : The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of police claimed to have arrested five members of a banned oraganisation who were involved in attacks on anti-polio workers during a raid operation conducted near Katti Pahari area in Karachi,DawnNews reported.

Tennis ball bombs were also recovered from the arrested suspects, according to police sources.



CID SSP Chaudhry Aslam told media persons that the arrested persons belonged to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Fazlullah group and were involved in attacks on polio workers.

What we need, to fight crime and terrorism, are operational CCTV cameras that provide blanket surveillance of all major cities in Pakistan (preferrably HD so it's easier to identify suspects). Since incriminating photographic evidence is permissible in court the cost of the project would be paid off by the identification of terror suspects and suspected criminals and the almost-guaranteed convictions which will ensue.
