Not sure about the UK but lions were once common in Europe

i dont see it.

Romans saw the lions for the first time which suggests that the Lion is not native to Europe.
I think Turkey or lets say Istanbul is the farthest they could go given the natural barriers in the Balkans

.
Wtf

What do you mean owned by the Queen?

Is that not why Robin Hood got in to trouble with Prince John? He and his merry men used to hunt King Richard's deer in the forest

But the Queen owning swans is news to me

apparently humans have evolved so much that they can OWN animals.

What's the source for this?

Is not owning animals the very foundation of farming? Lol

the source is actually the roman historian. if it helps ask any Christian who will remind you how the Romans threw them to the lions which they brought from Anatolia and Middle East.

and if Swans are actually helping in farming. do tell. Humans can only live beside animals and help each other. Owning has a very deep meaning which only a colonial Brit can explain to you. @Politico maybe she can

I am aware of this. But there have been unverified claims of lions existing in certain if not all of Europe. You can find lions in Greek literature too

You know I was talking about animals in general not Swans in particular. Maybe swan necks can be used as efficient and aerodynamic hockey sticks ... Lol

Owning has a completely different meaning if you are a gamer

Tut, tut dear Hamid. I sense a degree of rebellion amongst the colonies turning on their British masters here. Should we arm the guard ? :D

I blame the vegan diet.

A week without fish and chips made me do it.

Rebellion? This is a new English word Her Majesty has taught Hamid today Mr. Lyal.

Well restock the barnyard then my good man and away with all this vegan and vegetarian nonsense. We shall keep that for your cousins in the east whose fish and meat stock is merrily shipped off to London for Her Majesty's pleasure. Playing with the royal swans does give Her Majesty quite an appetite you see. Brownies I tell you, such a difficult bunch to govern. Why ever can't they just remain complacent like the Australian subjects !

Because Australians are not slaves but mere criminals......

Man is a rebel and a slave by design.

Something only your poor Hamid can understand but never explain to Her Majesty.

I was merely suggesting I wasn't aware Markhot being the National animal, I'm not sure what's so offensive about that?

I'm not your love - expand your appreception LOL.

The Swan is not the National animal of England, it is however valuable.

Swan represents grace and beauty, it's associated with love, music, and poetry. In Roman mythology swan was sacred to Venus, the Goddess of Love as well as in Greek tradition.

Eels share a similar interpretation to snakes as they are phallic animals. Thanks but no thanks, maybe something for you to consider.

Im teasing dont take it so seriously.
