Dr Tahir ul Qadri strongly condemns TTP terror attack in Peshawar school - Pakistan Awami Tehreek

The Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and global anti-terror scholar & author of Fatwa on Terrorism & Suicide Bombings, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has condemned today's terrorist attack in Peshawar school in the strongest terms.

Dr Qadri said "his prayers and thoughts are with the families of the victims who today faced a terrible ordeal. The terror attack is unforgivable." He added "PAT will continue its struggle against terrorism, extremism and violence in every form and demand a ruthless military operation."

Dr Qadri has stated that "the PML-N Government has failed to protect its citizens & PML-N & allied parties have been giving tacit approval to Taliban activities with its flawed policy of continuing dialogue with Taliban for far too long."

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri added that "PAT has been the only political party that has continuously demanded ruthless military operation against the Taliban to eliminate the terrorists and their hideouts."

He demands that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif take full responsibility for his flawed policies regarding TTP and resign immediately. (Emphasis added -- @HughSlaman)

He said that this is a wake up call for the nation to unite against terrorism and politicians who have failed to protect lives of our nation.

President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Raheeq Abbasi said "we demand all the political parties who supported dialogue with TTP to adopt the policy of PAT to unite against ruthless military operation in order to eliminate terrorists."

stupid people like TUQ and IK always supported anything against NS ..

Man it was NS and Army which started Operation in FATA against all ..

IK was the one who always said i would not send army into Fata and its all due to army in Fata and drones ..

IK should leave politics now as its TTP killing innocent people and he defended them everywhere. ..

NS and PMLN with army started these operations and that is why we had this unfortunate day after such a long time .. otherwise in PPP era it was norm ... hope you understand...

Can u please keep aside Politics for 3 days until we mourn those who lost their lives today...... its a humble request to all the posters at PDF

I understand the spirit of what you are saying. I disagree very strongly, though. Flawed politics is the reason we have the terrorism problem.

Politics should not be some game we play for the sake of scoring points. It's what we have to do for the sake of preserving our sacred land.

Nawaz has been promoting dialogue with the TTP since he came into power. This is unacceptable. Go Nawaz Go!

Please go ahead and mourn in your own time. Action is needed, right here and now.

Stupid people like you don't realize that NS has been holding back military operations against the TTP since he came into power, by promoting useless dialogues with them. The operation in FATA was started by the Army and NS could do little about it due to public pressure in support of it.

I'm tired of NS taking credit for things that happened in spite of him. He is a duffer, and needs to go.

As for IK, you're right: his policy has been equally flawed

TALIBAN: WE SLAUGHTERED 100+ KIDS BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS HELPED AMERICA
BY SAMI YOUSAFZAI12.16.14
LONDON — The unprecedented slaughter Tuesday of more than 125 people, most of them children, at a school in Peshawar, Pakistan, shows in the most gruesome possible way that the Pakistani Taliban known as the TTP have not yet been defeated or brought under control by the Pakistani military’s recent offensives. Certainly that was the objective of the attack: the school is a private one run by the army for the children of soldiers.

“The TTP is ready for a long, long war against the U.S. puppet state of Pakistan,” a TTP Taliban commander told me when I reached him on his Afghan cell phone. “We are just displaced, but we are still in positions to attack wherever we want," said Jihad Yar Wazir.

Yar Wazir justified the killings as fitting retribution. “The parents of the army school are army soldiers and they are behind the massive killing of our kids and indiscriminate bombing in North and South Waziristan," which are the TTP strongholds. “To hurt them at their safe haven and homes—such an attack is perfect revenge.”

But the children are innocents, I said. What about them, I asked?

“What about our kids and children,” he said. “These are the kids of the U.S.-backed Pakistani army and they should stop their parents from bombing our families and children." Yar Wazir went on: “Those kids are innocent because they are wearing a suit and tie and western shirts? But our kids wearing Islamic shalwar kamiz do not come before the eyes of the media and the west.”

Jihad Yar Wazir says the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban) has a long list of attacks that it will carry out in Pakistan against the security forces whose efforts to crush the group are supported by the United States. The regions where it is strong have served as a refuge for Al Qaeda, which is the main American target.

A Peshawar-based journalist, author and terrorism expert, Aqeel Yousafzai, says today’s attack is a big blow for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism strategy and policies. “The Army public school was not only for Army kids. Most of the kids are civilians kids, and what is worse is that the media reached the school before the rapid response force” of the police or military.”

The TTP’s retaliation for the recent offensive against it was “rapid and huge,” says Aqeel Yousafzai, and all the more of a shock because “the school is located in very sensitive place surrounded by army check points.”

According to eyewitnesses six attackers came in a car, set fire to it, and then entered the school compound at about 10:00 a.m. by scaling the wall. “We thought it must be the children playing some game,” a worker at the school told Reuters. “But then we saw a lot of firearms with them.”

It appears the attackers had little interest in taking hostages. One is reported to have blown himself up, along with many victims, but detonating a suicide vest. The killers went from classroom to classroom mowing down teachers and students alike. The latest reported death toll is 80 children and 46 adults, but that is expected to rise. As of early afternoon some of the attackers still appeared to be putting up a fight.

I think better way to settle the issue forever is through negotiations. with talibans capacity they cannot execute an attack in US. So their easy target is innocent pakistanis.. US bomb talibans, they bomb you to show their anger.. Dont mistake me, just a thought..

It is the government of Nawaz which authorized the war on western border, it was Zardari who didn't do squat.

Sometimes, Nawaz has to respond to pressure from others, and then he gets credit for it.
Nawaz spent an entire year holding back such operations.

You should be banned for 1) creating this topic and 2) reading something said by an individual who has no vested interest in Pakistan.

(1) is just silly.

(2) is just your speculation. Also silly. Dr. Qadri is right on this point, hence I quoted him.

Do you have any proofs what you are saying ???? Show me one proof that NS was only in favor of dialog ? he started the dialog but they failed and then army started the operation... Infect he was the one who said from the day 1 that this is the last chance for TTP to have dialog and get under Pakistan's law otherwise there will be operation..

Now if you do not have any proof then its YOU WHO IS STUPID....

it was IK who was from day first against any sort of operation ..

Thank you for spreading all these lies from the TTP.
There is no dialogue with TTP. The ones who are in jail need to be hanged.

IK had more flawed policies on War on terror or on TTP than any others politcian in Pakistan

Tehreek-e-Taliban should open an office: Imran Khan – The Express ...

And your charsi CM of KPK

No enmity with the Taliban, says PTI CM-designate - Pakistan - DAWN.COM
