India is way more powerful than Italy. Better navy, air force, land army.....

The difference is Italy builds to power their military while India runs its military on stuff that is bought/imported.

Hence Italy is capable of fighting prolonged wars while India cannot.

India cannot fight a war more than 2-3 weeks at most.

• The Fighter Jets are all Russian Tech and same with Engine
• Just recently India created some basic helicopters from Licensed production (Dhruv )
• Mixed results with their Tank Division and local engine
• Yes there are big numbers in Navy sure
• Missile program is benefiting from Tech share in space program between US-India

Italy

• Has been making SAMs for long time
• Now upgrading their ships to beastly mode fairly large Ships
• Italy is partner on F35 Stealth Program , exclusive excess to Stealth tech
• They have their own Typhoons 100 Units
• Making own software for Tech
• Run own Helicopter Manufacturing production line

Pakistan

• Engine for Tanks is coming from Ukraine (Al Khalid)
• Engine for Thunder from Russia
• Engine for Thunder from China (Possibility)
• Missile Tech has been mix of import/export deals
• UAV program is maturing with international collaboration
• Project Azm appears to be local project
• Some collaboration on Submarine TOT with France in 90's and now China
• Some collaboration on Ship building now with Turkey

Any ranking should be taken with grain of salt , skirmish last 1-2 weeks, wars last 4-5 years or 10 years
Ability to make replacement units is as important

But based on our resources and capacity we have done reasonable , enough deterrence to make anyone think 10 times

These lists are a joke, They focus more on quantity than quality. While world is moving towards modernization and reducing their troops number. Thats how USA suffered only 2000 casualties while taking down 70,000 afghanis.

Pakistan? Banana republic is a lawless land and has an army that is more interested in meeting with celebrities than defending its borders.

We have equipment used for furniture while on most conflicts our troops suffer more losses compared to the militants. Have drones from China and Turkey sitting in hangars collecting dust.

Americans did the mistake of trying to nation built and on that they failed, if they left after OBL raid they would considered as Victors, but Try Attacking US and see what they do in return? Pakistan's national Sovereignty is challenged by BLA and TTP on daily bases and yet they can not fight them, when was the last time US lost 10 soldiers on their own soil by a Insurgent group ? or even on foreign land ? and how did they respond to that?

Our army is living are as delusional as you that's why no business want to open here and country won't progress anywhere when bombs could go off at an any time. BLA and TTP are stronger than ever, they have networks all over Pakistan. Daily attacks in Pakistan, recently even a bomb went off in Anarkali. Exactly, 1 blast in USA and they invaded the entire country yet this clown is trying to equate them to us. 70,000 killed compared to 2,000 lost. Annihilated a whole single country for generations to come just for a single attack yet here our soldiers die everyday.

How can you rate South Korea below Turkey, Israel and Italy? Also Italy and Israel should not be in any top 10 list. Israel is too small and lacks strategic depth. Italy has a good navy. But mediocre ground force and air force.

If Italy goes to war today, Fincantieri will cancel the entire global cruise order book and within 3 years will build as many new ships as all modern frigates owned by the Indian navy.

Non-magnetic steel, superstructures and all wiring and fittings, deck equipment, propellers, shafts, and bow thrusters are produced by the Italian shipbuilding industry. Marine diesel engine, propulsion system and auxiliary units are supplied from Italian industry. As equipment, Radar suite and IFF Selex, CMS and related navionics are supplied from Leonardo, ECM systems from Elettronica, Weapons systems from Oto-Malera Leonardo and MBDA, ASW helicopter from Agusta.

Contrary to popular belief, Italy, France and Germany are countries that preserve their local industrial opportunities to a certain extent, especially in the navy. France still has clear ambitions, but the low inventory of the German and Italian navies is all about threat perception and economic sustainability.

These countries keep their defense expenses at the level of 2% of GDP and focus on social welfare, infrastructure and R&D. If one of these countries starts to buy weapons at the rate of 8-9% of their GDP, they can easily take a place behind the 3 big forces in total tonnage and inventory size criteria due to their production capabilities.
