A minor girl aged 14, who travelled with her father to Mecca for Umrah (minor pilgrimage), was raped yesterday morning before being killed by a Saudi who, according to some sources, belongs to a radical group.
* The criminal has benefited from the absence of the father of the young Sarah, who left for the dawn prayer, to enter his room in “Rachidine” hotel, located in Ghaza Avenue and savagely raped her before throwing her from the 19th floor. The poor girl fell to the 14th floor balcony. According to some sources, the girl would have thrown herself to flee from the hands of savage beast.
* The victim, Benouis Sarah, aged 14, is an Algerian girl; her father from Tlemcen in Algeria, and her mother of French origin. She had gone with her father to perform the Umrah (minor pilgrimage) to Mecca.
* The criminal was arrested by Saudi security services. There were reports that he was Bangladeshi, but according to investigators, the respondent was a citizen of Yemen and has two other accomplices who were also arrested.
* Many members of the Algerian delegation to Mecca gathered outside the consulate of Algeria to seek the intervention of the consul Salah Atiya.
* The sources added that all Algerian pilgrims have left "Rachidine" hotel for security reasons and also for the needs of the investigation.
