Girl from south China took a road trip to Pamir plateau , Tashkurgan region, bordering Pakistan, she heard that people lived on such a high plateau, 3100 meters above the sea level, can not take showers often, otherwise they will catch a cold.

She asked the locals to verify this information and how often they took a shower, they told her that's not true, they take a shower once every 2 or 3 days and never get a cold.

LOL - that girl must be quite dim.

People in cold climates take showers every day and do not catch a cold. Here in the UK I take a shower every day in winter when the temperature during the day may not rise above 0 degrees Celcius.

Anyway she should know that cold is not caused by cold weather but by a virus.

A girl explores Xinjiang Bagua (eight trigrams) city, a tiny city that has no traffic lights, maybe the only Chinese city which has no traffic lights cause the layout of city are all circles.

Agree and i expect everyone having this much common sense.

While smart people live smartly, donkeys in donkey kingdoms, need under passes and jangla buses, which of course costs $billions.

I agree that's a stupid question, but the girl doesn't seem to be mocking them, she is just genuinely ignorant, she said she got a cold the second day after she arrived there and the guy said probably because she's not used to the environment, locals almost never get a cold.

I dont think you can compare the brutal cold in Pamir (daily average minimum of -18c with i expect enormous wind chills) with temperate climate of UK where negative temperatures last just for few hours at most in jan and feb and sometimes in dec. Also UK has central heating throughout - here are some of the most poverty stricken places and there is also elevation issues.

True. Plus if you don’t rub your eyes (or better yet your entire face) you should be ok.

Plus remember are in a first world country where your home is heated and your shower water isn’t ice cold.
