Girl from south China goes to Pamir plateau and asks locals how often they take a shower

True. Plus if you don’t rub your eyes (or better yet your entire face) you should be ok.

Plus remember are in a first world country where your home is heated and your shower water isn’t ice cold.
Those houses in Pamir region are well heated, no one will take a shower once every two or three days without hotwater and proper heating.

Well I guess that woman is clueless then.
That's like asking somebody in an office building if they are worried about the rain outside soaking their desk.

.
LOL - that girl must be quite dim.

People in cold climates take showers every day and do not catch a cold. Here in the UK I take a shower every day in winter when the temperature during the day may not rise above 0 degrees Celcius.

Anyway she should know that cold is not caused by cold weather but by a virus.

Do you take shower by using heating/boil water first or just using cold water during winter ?

Man hot showers during harsh winters are fukin love.

The girl is indeed not very smart, she is even fascinated by how the Pamir local villagers wash their cars. That's what so called "stupid tourists" by locals.

.
This girl was moved by the hospitality of the local villagers when one old guy invited her to his home for a cup of milk tea, she was told those houses were all built by the government for the local villagers and they can resist strong earthquakes, this part of Pamir region is a very earthquake active zone.

Girl from south China took a road trip to Pamir plateau , Tashkurgan region, bordering Pakistan, she heard that people lived on such a high plateau, 3100 meters above the sea level, can not take showers often, otherwise they will catch a cold.

She asked the locals to verify this information and how often they took a shower, they told her that's not true, they take a shower once every 2 or 3 days and never get a cold.

She is right. Washing is overrated.
A French emperor seldom washed himself. That led to the invention of parfume.

.
Thats why I asked him/her that question he he. It will be a huge enjoyment to have a hot showers during winters.
I live in Karachi its warm most of the year. Essentially a desert city on the warm arabian sea.

It gets cold but not as harsh as in interior Sindh or other provinces. So it is possible, I shower with cold water on working days. It wakes you up.

But I cant do that in Quetta, where the temperature goes in - (minus digits). That would cause hypothermia lol.

Muslims had been using atar since much longer.

No need to be scared of showers frenchies lol.

I disagree with this. Very dangerous. The girl did not clearly realize how scary this world was. What if the girl alone went to places like India and South America.

Ancient Egyptians were also known for perfume.

The source of raw material maybe comes from Indonesia since Indonesia has long history of trade with Egypt. The material used to preserve mummy for instant comes from Indonesia region called barus in North Sumatra.
