Well it happened here so it had a happy ending. if this had happened in KP or most parts of Pakistan or India she would have been beaten and then shot and buried in the name of honor killing.

Totally agree with you and I think the reference to background was more of ethnic than religious because be it Pakistanis or Indians they just don't know how to react and handle these kind of situations. but respect to her parents for standing shoulder to shoulder with her through this ordeal.
