A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a boy as his sister watched - before his parents beat the victim leaving her critically injured.

In what is the latest shocking rape case to hit India, the teenager was attacked by a 16-year-old in the Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh.

Police say the boy carried out the rape in the presence of his sister in Shivli town on Sunday. He then beat the girl with the help of his mother and father, leaving her with serious injuries, investigators said.

Officers said she was then threatened and warned not to tell anyone about her ordeal before being released to go home.

The schoolgirl was later taken to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital in Kanpur where her condition is described as critical.

The victim revealed her attack to her family who then reported it to police. The 16-year-old and his parents have since been arrested.

Apparently Indian democracy' freedom of expression is that a gang of men or a boy and his family can express their freedom to a young or teenage girl !!!?

Rape is rampant in the world.. only very severe laws and sentences can deter it a bit.. like what happened in North America and Europe not too long ago....I said a bit..because there are huge amounts of studies done about it, and most are incomplete, since the black data makes it very hard to measure.. (unreported rapes in this instance)..But nothing comes close to what we hear day in day out happening in India..This looks like an epidemic disease..
