Its very simple, Pak has more vehicles per citizen than India. Anyway you look at it, India's massive population means that it would need several billion cars on its roads to be anywhere higher on that list. Its simple maths really.

Nope. not really. India passenger vehicle sales last year were close to 2.6 million compared to 150000-200000 vehicles in Pakistan. That's close to 13-17 times Pakistan with only 6 times population.

Motorcycles sales last year were above 16 million compared to 1.3 million Pakistan.

Its been the ratio for over a decade now. So India should have more vehicles per capita than Pakistan. Simple math.

Yes, we have but due to corruption you can get it in few Rupees as its employs analogue method.
Now GoI is implementing digitization which would curb these practices.

Dear, @Thorough Pro is talking about local partners of japanese companies will bribe politicians in pak to stuck deal with German companies...

Why would the Japanese pay bribe to make any deal with their competition??? Wouldn't that be dangerous their monopoly?

And why is it just assumed someone will bribe the "politicians"?? Bribes are applicable to anyone who takes it, the Generals and the Politicians alike. The current leadership hasn't taken any bribes on anything as they have a mission and legacy to build, and take Pakistan to a good destination, a lot of work regarding this is already happening.

So making silly assumptions about an investment proposal which only brings thousands of jobs to Pakistan is pretty stupid actually.

According to wikia reference source - WB report both India and Pakistan had 18 cars per 1000 in circa 2010.

in lahore about close to 30 percent cars are diretly imported from japan
in my home we have 6 japenese made n 2 locally made cars so it isnt about local market sale a huge amount of japnese made cars are imported in pakistan....
so it can be possible the vechicles per capita for pak is more.
