The Shahs of Iran, Ben Ali and currently Beji Caid Essebsi, all secular parties and the former 2 tried their best to eradicate Islam out of their countries.

Also the Turkish government from the time of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk were too secular and they too tried to do eradicate Islamic traditions out of Turkey.

I hope you realise that Turkey is considered as one of the few shining lights amongst the Muslim countries...

And in Cologne, there were around 10 times as many people protesting against the anti-Muslim demonstrators.

as of now, turkey is one if the very few muslim majority countries actually progressing-- where several others are marred by violence.

I don't see Saudi Arabia in violence, UAE or Qatar (sure, they finance insurgency). Also the Turks were at war with the PKK a few years back, highly doubt that doesn't classify as killing each other.

Saudi and Qatar export the violence...
my personal opinion is that Saudi , Qatar and USA want to supress iran-- and this is the basic cause of all the violence there. Though the people there are at fault too, for getting so worked up over religious issues...

I see nothing wrong with it...All the Muslim majority countries I have visited MOST of my neighbors (I mostly lived in apartments) have been non Muslim....

If you want to talk about not nice Muslims only talk about those who are not nice...not their nationality! Its an individual choice to be nice or not nothing to do with their DNA/ Nationality/ Race or colour!

I'm not talking about tourism. Imagine that instead of Muslims (in your home, in your hometown) on your own street settled only Buddhists or voodoo adepts. I'm sure you would like to see your native street / city / country remained Muslim, not Buddhist or Zoroastrian.
