• George couldn’t help his laughter when Google pronounced the metropolitan city’s most busy road ‘Shahrah-e-Faisal’ as ‘Sha Ra ee Faisal’ and Korangi as ‘Koran-gayi.’
  
  The British-Pakistani journalist continues to roam around the roads of Karachi to put Google Maps in real trouble.
  
  And, when Google Maps keeps on pronouncing words funnily, Fulton gives it some schooling.
  
  Google! Come on guys; you rule the world. You should be able to fix this.
  
  However, the fit of laughter returns soon as Google pronounces Khayaban-e-Shamsheer as ‘Shamshaar’ and ‘Zamzama’ is becomes Zama Zaaaah.
  
  About George Fulton
  For those unaware of George Fulton – he is a British-Pakistani journalist who has previously worked with the BBC as well.
  
  His TV show ‘George Ka Pakistan’ – where he shared his experience as a British guy living in Pakistan – was a big hit back in the early 2000s.
  
  Married to a Pakistani woman Kiran, Fulton is nowadays running his YouTube channel ‘Desi George.’

Pakistan needs to develop its own apps and tech companies to do all the things its population already does with un-customized foreign products. Not only will it work based on local knowledge it will keep Pakistani data and user generated revenue circulating within Pakistan. foreign advertisers can advertise on the platforms and Pakistani investors in these companies can benefit. its a virtuous cycle of growth. it can also help funnel graduates in computer science into a vibrant tech sector with opportunities for them to grow their careers in Pakistan and abroad. Pakistani companies could then branch out and seek to expand into Desi communities around the world, especially in the gulf and Britain.
