I hope I won't see a picture like this where Modi is replaced by Gen. Raheel. There are people on this forum, who near worship the military!!! And somehow they think the military can do everything. And they never think about previous generals who claimed to "do" everything but in the thin air, not in reality!

I have a feeling that some smart people on here might take your sarcastic and funny comment as the best advice ever; as they think Mushy was the best thing for Pakistan. In my opinion, he was the best thing since Mr. Bean!

If a universal election were held today, Raheel Sharif will get elected in a JIFFY..

And he'll fail miserably in being a PM as that's not his expertise or career. He's a professional general, not a businessman or economist. Asking him to be a PM is like asking a Doctor with 20 years of Practice and Hospital experience to start working as an attorney!!! Go figure. The judge might like him, but would he actually get justice done? HELL NO!!!

Pakistan can't afford and doesn't have the reason to try these new (previously failed many times) recipes. These are ideas and recipes for disaster!!!

The same Ol' problem, typical Pakistani behavior. Raheel Sharif is yet to prove he can go after people that matter ( and please dont say MQM or Altaf hussien, MQM is the smallest of the problems we have in Pakistan). Till now its just speeches, and nothing practical. Zardari, Nawaz, shahbaz, gillani, ishaaq dar, even Raja Pervaiz God damn it.

Sometimes I just feel Raheel Sharif is a part of yet another game played with Pakistani awaam, another lolli pop handed to us to keep nation distracted for some years, until they find another lolli pop
So before we start worshipping yet another man who literally hasnt proven anything yet, except speeches, trips, pictures with a serious face and promise (typical lollipop).....lets pause and act like a mature people. The time of unconditional, emotional support shud be over now!!
One last thing, we were very close to upset the status quo in Pakistan, but it was our great Raheel Sharif who interfered at that point and saved Nawaz (AKA status Quo representative) at that time during "DHARNA"

No, turning him into a powerhungry dictator would be a big mistake, i think we all learned that lession from Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan and Musharraf. They always start good but end up as the bad guys. The respectful COAS should retire with grace although i am strongly infavor of giving him an extension. Pakistan needs THIS sort of person to be on the forefront!

You consider Nawaz Sharif an Economist ?

And his expertise as a businessman is a huge suspect.

Most of his ill gotten wealth is from kickbacks and not thru his expertise in Business.

Nawaz Sharif and his cronies made their money from corruption and we don't need such expertise because the country does not benefit from such parasites.

What Raheel Sharif will bring with him is uncompromising Honesty and Administrative Skills which are much needed in the country and that would be a breadth of fresh air.

(I hate to post religious stuff, but this made me post )...... From what i have learnt from PDF, there are several guys who is already worshiping the current COAS.... People use different means for worshipping in our respective countries..... and you get to post such pictures, where Indians dont.... But if one go by the meaning of Worshiping, you are already at it....

@Topic...... I think it is in india's interest to have him on top post in Pakistan, We have our best chance to resolve our issues when a powerful man is in power...... We were close to resolving our issues when Mushraff was in power......

This time is different, no he won't be becoming a PM or a president but he can bring China type patriotic council in power ?
& he is going to do so !

You should have at least read about Mr Sharif.. Like Gen Kayani he is not at all interested in politics and that is why Pakistan has seen Army not interfering in internal politics for the second time I guess after Gen. Kayani...

He has an Army background and I think this man of discipline he will never get into a dirty job.. rather retire with dignity...rest who knows...
