What do you guys think General Raheel Sharif as Prime Minister.....He will fix a lot of corruption in Pakistan :pakistan:

Why be a mere PM when one can be an absolute dictator as CMLA?

Because when come into power they cannot let it go. Remember how they come few years to "save" Pakistan and call election soon?

Raheel isn't that sort of person. So sorry to burst your bubble. He likely won't even seek second term.

Oh and don't worry, next COAS will also be good and there will be posts about his extension, him being saviour of Pakistan, wishes for him to run for prime minister etc.

Edit wrong person quote

You mean as an elected PM or as a dictator?

If a universal election were held today, Raheel Sharif will get elected in a JIFFY.

I don't think anyone can deny that.

However, I seriously doubt he will be interested in Politics.

The general should serve the country within his 3 year term and retire gracefully.
exactly. i think he is just doing his job perfectly and that is what required from a serving general.

Here we go. I was SO waiting for this crap to make it to the thread. No, general Raheel won't make it a good PM, like every single military general hasn't made a good Presi-Gent over the 70 years of your country's history, and hasn't grown a freaking PLANT in the 70 years for the people, let alone growing an economy. He's a general, Business, Economy, Negotiations, aren't his thing, nor he was brought up in that environment. He's a great general and let him have the dignity and respect for his dedication to the country.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail to you. That's what these Presi-Gen's have been doing to Pakistan for decades. Military power doesn't create jobs, doesn't make friends, doesn't establishes relationship, doesn't make bigger countries talk to you equally with respect and doesn't grow anything from a business and economy's stand point. Let's not entertain these ideas that have destroyed Pakistan and kept her behind the entire world most of her life. Pakistanis deserve better and ONLY a civilian system can get what they need. Specially, when there is a system working well already!!
