urdu press is the worst when it comes to news....pure speculation! - also known as the gutter press

where does it says General sahab signed the deal?
it says Sauds showed "dilchaspee" in AK and JF-17.

.
Can someone translate? My urdu is really shaky.

I doubt that this is the case, government and defence officials are the ones that sign such contracts, not the COAS, unless he's been given the authority and mandate to do such a thing.

Sensational title...it is not the job of Gen Raheel to finalize things before any contracts are signed there are departments with-in Armed Forces it is their job. Last the title says Gen Raheel gives final touches before contracts are signed and at the end of the urdu news it says saudis have shown interest [only] which is correct deal is ready or only interest shown? contradictions.

Trash urdu news.

lol @ Pakistan Media news reporting on defence materials ...

Pakistna JADEED TAREEN 1980 kay gunship helicopters sa baambari... Pakistan kay jadeed tareeen F7pg kise b waqt dushman kay SU30 MKI ka mokabala karnay kiliye tyaar... Pakistan kay JADEED TAREEN blaa blaa.... now CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF send for THUNDER contract LOLZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The title of the thread and the headline are saying two different things. The headline roughly translates as " Final touches have been given to defence contracts during General Raheel's visit to Saudi Arabia."
But then the news article itself contradicts the headline and says that they showed interest in AK and JF-17.
So the real story is interest, no finalization.

COAS returns home after visit to KSA

RAWALPINDI: General Raheel Sharif, chief of the army staff (COAS), has returned home after a visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

This was Gen Sharif’s first visit to a foreign country after assuming charge as COAS, and it indicates the importance Pakistan’s defence forces attach to relations with the KSA.

Saudi Arabia has always been a close friend of Pakistan and armies of both the countries enjoy unprecedented military to military relationship.

Gen Raheel was accorded special protocol throughout his stay in Saudi Arabia.

The army chief met Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, crown prince, deputy prime minister and defence minister of KSA.

The crown prince expressed warm sentiments about Pakistan and said that the kingdom has a special relationship with Pakistan. The two sides expressed satisfaction with the status of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence.
The crown prince also conferred King Abdulaziz Order of Excellence Medal on General Sharif, who had a busy schedule during his three-day stay in Saudi Arabia. The COAS also held meetings with General Hussain bin Abdullah Al Qubayal, Chief of General Staff, Saudi armed forces, and Lieutenant General Eid bin Awad Al Shalawi, Commander Royal Saudi Land Forces in Riyadh. During the meetings, issues of mutual interest, including defence and security cooperation, and measures contributing towards regional stability came under discussion. General Sharif also visited the Saudi Ministry of Interior and held a meeting with General Abdul Rahman Al-Rubaian, deputy minister, where he was briefed on the counter-terrorism performance of the ministry.

General Raheel also performed Umrah and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

Hello, sir. Would you like to buy this lovely bridge here? Its on sale for today only. Think of all the money you could make from tolls.

Are you sure its for sale mate?” replied the confused @Zarvan.

Why else would it have a ‘For Sale’ sticker on it?!

George C. Parker was the greatest con man in American history managing to sell landmark items like Madison Square Gardens, the Statue of Liberty and, you guessed it, the Brooklyn Bridge.

In fact, he sold the Brooklyn Bridge at least twice a week, one time for as much as $50,000. Sometimes the police would have to stop the “new owners” from setting up toll booths in the middle of the bridge.

George C. Parker Now lives and works in pakistan and owns and operate Urdu Media.
