Featured General Qamar Javed Bajwa to visit Saudi Arabia next week

. . . .
Let’s theoretically give it a benefit of the doubt - and assume an odd possibility that this was Pakistan playing good cop, bad cop with KSA.

It is possible...
Even the US can't do that!..

.
Well SMQ is considered very close to GHQ, so I don't buy this argument of Military going against SMQ or SMQ going against the military.
GHQ sab se phly apny piyaroon ki hi qurbani deta hai ,:D GHQ to un ka bhi nhi hoa jinoon ne wardi utar di thi SMQ kya cheez hai . ap GHQ ki politics nhi janty pakistan ki koi party ghq ka muqabla nhi ker sakti

General Qamar Javed Bajwa to visit Saudi Arabia next week
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be visiting Saudi Arabia next week to have in-depth and extensive discussion with the Royal leadership including Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman about the subjects of mutual interest of the two countries.

The visit will have conspicuous significance in the backdrop of the developments in the region. Ambassador of Saudi Arabia for Pakistan Admiral Nawaf Saeed Al-Malkiy visited the COAS on Monday and had discussion about the subjects of mutual interest of brotherly countries. It has been officially stated that the matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and bilateral defence relations between the two brotherly countries were discussed during the meeting.

In the meanwhile diplomatic sources told The News that General Qamar Bajwa who is widely respected in Saudi Arabia will have discussion about the developments in Afghanistan while he will also brief his hosts about the situation prevailing in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) especially annexation of the disputed area more than one years ago and unleashing indescribable brutalities towards them.

General Bajwa will also perform Umra during his stay in the Kingdom and the sources have hinted that he would also have a meeting with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.

The diplomatic sources are hopeful that recently cropped misunderstanding between the two strategic partners on account of some assertions would be subsided as the result of the upcoming visit of General Bajwa to Saudi Arabia.

The sources said that the General also had brief discussion with Ambassador Admiral Nawaf Saeed Al-Malikiy about his plan to visit the Kingdom in few days.

Saudis waited for PA to say something about SMQ statement to them but not a word so the good ambassador was sent to invite CAOS.

I know no one on this forum actually knows what's going on behind the scenes, it's just speculations that people are putting up in support of their personal views.
What I think is if we look at the geopolitics going on from a larger dimention, we can understand where KSA insecurities regarding Pakistan is stemming from.
1) Pakistan didn't actively participate in Yemen conflict it remained neutral for the most part. KSA considered Pakistan as their vessel state same as Egypt this came as a surprise to them.
2) After Kashmir debacle Turkey was very vocal in its support, even Iran was more vocal. Ties between these countries which KSA considered it's archrivals, and Pakistan warmed up lot. KSA can not match upto them simply because of its business interests in India and it's repercussions in light with it's relations with USA.
Even screening of Ertugrul unnerved them.
3) Recent developments between Iran and China are a major cause as well.

The fact of the matter is as geopolitics follow it's current course sooner or later we will encounter friction with GCC. The test for the current leadership is how long can they sustain this relation. What Pakistan is doing right now is good cop bad cop strategy by design. Someone is to convey our interests and speak upto them that's what SMQ did and someone has to maintain a friendly link which Gen Bajwa is doing. This is the best way to extract maximum benefit.

Ok.. I guess everyone from Reagan to Colin Powell to Pompeo must have no idea what they are doing.
They had and have a good idea not to mess with Saudi Arabia; too many interests are intermingled..

.
Could be related to defense issues, eg saudis shitting their pants at the thought of Pakistan leaving them. So they're negotiating for a deal that benefits Pakistan.

Or SMQ will disappear and a few billions are added to reserves.

1. SMQ will Disappear
2.Pakistan will be compelled to make some statement / do act that will demonstrate more inclination towards Saudi than Iran...e.g. recent detention of Irani oil tanker without notifying Iran
3. Instructions not to drag OIC in between Kashmir issue with India (with OIC stand that it is more of a political issue than religious)
4. Warning on making undue advances with parallel group (Turkey/Iran/Qatar)

. . . .
IK with foreign office, plus Mil plus agencies are now going with "Janissary" foreign policy.
Rafi issue is we have to be very careful reason Janissary has alot of issue not only with Arabs but with west too we need to be prudent here I know it's not easy but is possible
