On February 10, 2009 - Pakistans Urdu daily UMMAT, published the following interview with General Beg, taken by W.A. Siddiqui.
Q: Do you see any changes in American policy towards Afganistan and Kashmir in the light of statements made by Halbrooke?
A: There is significant difference between Halbrookes statements made in Munich before arriving in Pakistan and the statements made by other US officials. President Obama during his election campaign promised to give special attention to Kashmir problem and promised to appoint former president Clinton, as special envoy to resolve this conflict - but now under Indian pressure, he is ignoring the issue. Now Obama is saying that he will look into Kashmir conflict after taking care of Afghanistan problem first.
Washington, now, believes in need of a new strategy in Afghanistan. A new strategy is only workable if Americans have some other choices - but the reality on ground is that Americans are already been defeated in Afghanistan. America has only NATO and four other European allies who have their forces in Afghanistan and are carrying on the military operations. The rest of allied countries have pulled their forces back, which are affraid to fight Taliban.
Since 2001 the US forces and their allies have been defeated on every front and they have lost their will to fight. One out of every five American soldier has gone insane. Washington is now blaming Pakistan for its eminent defeat. In fact Pakistan is suffering itself from American state terrorism and its wrong military planning in Afghanistan.
American think-tanks and Indian propaganda is projecting a false picture of Pakistan - being about to break-up. The reality is that America has suffered defeat and its dream of world domination has been destroyed. Also Americas dream of Greater Israel in the Middle East has been shattered. The plan to redraw Israeli boundaries has failed as result of Israels military humiliation at the hands of HizbAllah (2006) and recently by Hamas in Gazzah. These humiliations have destroyed the myth of Israeli invincibility.
Israels invasion of Gazzah has exposed Obamas true nature. He was criminally silent over the genocide of Muslims in Gaza and Israeli terrorism against democratically elected government of Hamas. If Obama had been serious about changing US foreign policy - he would have taken every possible action to stop Israeli terrorism. His actions have proved that he is not interested in fulfilling his promises, and he himself is a terrorist.
Washington is putting pressure on Pakistan to mask its military humilation in Afghanistan. But I am sure America will fail in this too because Pakistan has an elected government, which cannot servive long by making decisions against the interests of Pakistan public. This was the very reason that the government took the rightful decision, against the American pressure, and released Dr. Qadeer Khan. I am also sure that before March 12, all the dismissed judges will be reinstated.
History is witness that all the foreign powers which occupied Afghanistan - had to withdraw under humiliation. The same fate is resrved for America and its allies. And once it happen - the region will see a peaceful future. Under American pressure, president Asif Ali Zardari has promised Washington that his government is committed to destroy terrorism in Pakistan - but its just a statement because he cannot do a thing about it. Zardari should access the situation in Swat, Dir, Bajour and Waziristan. First of all the central government has to establish its jurisdiction in those areas - which cannot be established by military brutality. It could only be achieved through peaceful negotiations between central government and the local leaders. Islamabad is not in the position to decide which law should be applied in those area. The people over there want Islamic Shariah laws and they must be given that right.
Q: What American policy would be on Kashmir?
A: After listening to Halbrookes statements - it seem that both Halbrooke and Obama administration is confused. They dont understand that Kashmir problem cannot be solved by either the US or India. It will be solved by the people of Kashmir as is evident from the Jihad being carried out in the valley .
I wonder if the good General knows about Rehman Maliks cosy relations with Mossad and RAW. Remember how he admitted Pakistani connection with Mumbai terrorist attacks - in order to protect Israelis and Hindu extremists, who carried out the carnage.
Richard Charles Albert Halbrroke (b. 1941), Obamas special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan - is married to Koti Marton, a Jewish journalist. He was a contributing editor to Jewish magazine Newsweek International. In 2000, as Americas ambassador at UN, Halbrooke secured membership for Israel in the UNs Western Europe and Others regional group - opening the door for the Zionist entity to stand for leadership positions in UN sub-bodies. Halbrroke also secured a position for Jewish women organization, Hadassah, at United Nations against Arab objections. In 1995, Halbrroke was the chief architect of the notorious Dayton Peace Accord, which destroyed the dream of an independent Muslim country of Bosnia-Herzegovina
