Gen. Raheel Sharif receiving proper welcome in Masjid-e-Nabwi

. .

And ofcourse, no one thinks there is anything wrong with the "protocol". Had it been NS, I am sure, pages filled with hatred would've been written on here with proud by a mere few, who, otherwise, can't stop the actual power brokers, the PEOPLE from voting for him.

Love the two faced, group based hypocrisy. Nowhere else in the world will you find a nation divided between the military, "their guy" and "their group", all way above the real allegiance, that is, the country!!

.
MashaAllah! this is the izzat and maqam which Allah Kareem gave to Raheel Sharif. Protocol can be given by governments but this is the love of people of Pakistan. Haters gonna hate and Pakistan Army and aashiqan e Rasul (s.a.w.w) will continue to serve this Pakistan Madina e Sani alhamdulilah!

it must be hurting real bad. ask Indians for a little burnol.

For the first time he has been in open public place and we see the true public sentiments about him.No doubt he has earned it.

Sir had our govt guys been upto the mark then same protocol would have been given to them too. Gen Shareef and his team are the very first respondents to any calamity/emergency while its his actions who awake the govt from slumber. Why would not nation love him? He is also part of the very same govt.Or not? Then whats the point of differentiating between Govt n Military?

There is no doubt that he's been the best COAS Pakistan has had. And he's democratic and understands what military brought to the country by "ruling it" for 6 decades, and its nothing. So he wants to stay away and let civilians do their work. If Pakistan has him instead of Mushy, today, 15 years post 2000, you'd ALREADY be the top 15th economy.

The point wasn't that he's a bad guy. Any COAS when goes to do Umrah, they get the same protocol. Military in Pakistan fancies itself with people. Where else a disaster happens and the rulers don't call the military???? EVERYWHERE in the world, the military is called per the President and the Prime Minister's wish. The military's generals serve at the wish and will of a country's premiers, end of the story and its the case in Pakistan too.

Now back to the post, you ignored my point. The point was, the SAME people who are fancying these protocols, would've have written cold blooded hate against NS. This trend has to stop as it shows nothing but a divide. They ALL get the same protocol. You can never grow as a country if "your guys" gets the protocol, its perfectly fine. But if the other guy get it, you people make yourselves and the entire country look bad by showing your divide and writing 100 pages per thread filled with hate. That's why the world can never think of Pakistan as a solid, trust worthy state for their investments, as there is SO much divide between the nation. A nation split between "my guy" and "the other guy", "my party", "my sect" and all..............where is "our Pakistan" in this entire thing? That's what's missing from Pakistanis!!

Oh dear, an american living few thousand miles away would stop at nothing to defend the Pakistani ganja.

In case you didn't know, this protocol is given by Saudi govt to all foreign dignitaries.

Secondly, this is the respect you get ! Respect is earned. Not bought.
And plz don't say these were paid supporters of army :D

Everyone has right to choose whatever person they like. This is democracy !

Raheel Sharif is not a political leader so he is less controversial.
However NS is the political leader of the one party as well and representative of one political school of thought. So you can expect his opponents criticise him.
Similarly IK is facing criticism for his domestic issues as well. Nothing to do with the public intrest if he divorced his wife.
But it is politics. Same everywhere in the world.
And General don't have political opponents. So please don't make it controversial issue.

That's because firstly, the protocol is provided by the Saudi Government and is not at the expense of Pakistani taxpayers.

Secondly, It's not too much: It's not 56 Land Cruisers. It's six or so guys for security, and a couple of Saudi officials walking next to the general. The rest of it is Pakistani civilian pilgrims praying for him (Masjid-e-Nabwi is an important religious location).

There is no hypocrisy here. You simply can not say that having 56 vehicles paid for by Pakistani taxpayers is the same as having a few people provided by the Saudis walk alongside you. It's not.

This is too much protocol:

This is okay protocol:

There's a difference. Think a little before accusing an entire nation of hypocrisy.

Are people just flat out this stupid like the above post suggests???? Really? A TWO year old child knows that when you go to a foreign country as a dignitary, you are their government's responsibility. Either you have NO clue about international diplomatic relations or you chose to ignore reality when the case applies to "the other guy" you don't like!!

To expect that NS "pays" for his protocol outside of Pakistan, while the COAS was given the protocol with love form KSA, is probably the most silliest statement of the year!! Any dignitaries get the protocol. In fact, the COAS gets a much smaller protocol than the President and the PM of Pakistan.

Second, the COAS also sits in a 7 series BMW with MP protecting him. He doesn't exactly sit in Corolla. So until IK, and everyone else start to sit in Corollas, you have 0 reason to make these stupid points  . I'd love to see your boss IK sitting in a Toyota Corolla, instead of a bullet proof Land Cruiser. If he "truly" represents the "poor" :omghaha: :yahoo: .

Talk about two faced hypocrites, who would do or say anything to get power for themselves, even get people killed and damage the country for billions!!! Reham Khan, being a British citizen and a newly wed wife, enjoyed the SAME protocol like the CM of KPK. And the woman wasn't even Pakistani!! Go figure!! The guy standing up for justice allowing his wife to be treated with the SAME protocol like the CM of KPK!!! Does it get any worst than this? Two, three or four faced politics by IK?

Both NS and RS represent Pakistan in their capacity. NS represents the ENTIRE Pakistan as THE Chief Executive of the country. While RS (although I am a big fan of him), represent ONLY a military and serves at the wish of the Premier, like anything educated, civil country.

Let's not over glorify the role of an organization, more than it needs to. Both, when traveling abroad, will get some protocol. But the Chief Executive gets the same protocol as the head of the state he's visiting. Take a look at NS's protocol in Washington and RS's give just TWO SUV's.

This is where the issue is, you guys are too divided between your little 550K military and 200 million people's vote power. It'll take time, but ALL the "wrinkles" will iron out. There will never be a military rule in Pakistan. Unless, the military thinks they can kill a few million innocent Pakistanis in cold blood, which will start a civil war at this point. Those days of the military rule are gone and RS supports this transition towards full diplomacy and democracy. One of the reason I like him.

Its some fools left on here and some in Islamabad who glorify the military more than needed, and it will end too. The military isn't a marketing organization, nor does it need to show case, every little bag of food it gives to a victim of an earth quake. That's their job like every other country's military!!

Sir totally agree with that.Division of any sort is really hazardous for a country's long run prosperity but Sir the fact is that politicians in our part actually rule on this division factor and the worst part is that this division is further aggravated into Hate factor.May it be PTI or PML(N) or any other party, they try to get sympathy n votes not by their performance but by degrading other parties.
In case of responding to disaster things here have changed as its military who is taking initiative rather than waiting for the Govt to tell them to do so after 2,3 days the disaster had struck. Its just a minor example of many.

What did I say? I said it was the foreign country's people. As they should be. You've said the same thing as I said, and then just called me stupid for it.
To expect that NS "pays" for his protocol outside of Pakistan,
Nobody complains about Nawaz's foreign protocol. People only complain when he takes 56 Pakistani government cars to tours of Pakistani cities.

Sir the point here wasnt protocol given by the KSA but the reaction of the people to see the most popular General amognst them. Ofcourse the protocol given by KSA was the standard one that is given to all.
