Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has advised military personnel to stay focused in their professional pursuits and keep abreast with changing nature of the threat, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

General Qamar expressed these remarks during a visit to Lahore Corps on Monday where he was briefed about the operational preparedness of the formation.

The army chief interacted with troops carrying out maintenance of defences and also witnessed small arms firing.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS appreciated troops for their professionalism and high training standards. "Professional excellence and extensive training ensure effective response against all challenges."

Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz accompanied General Qamar during the visit.
On March 1, the army chief visited a logistics installation and workshop in Rawalpindi. "The COAS visited various facilities and infrastructures of the workshop handling a vast range of specialised transport items for army," the ISPR said.

Gen Qamar was briefed regarding facilities being developed, graduation mechanism of vehicles and handling of central stores.
Earlier in February, while attending the ongoing war game of the Central Command in Kharian Garrison, General Qamar commended the innovativeness of military planners to cope up with mounting challenges and ensure impregnability of the country's defence.

The military's media wing said that the COAS also interacted with officers and appreciated their professionalism, operational readiness and commitment to defend the motherland in the face of conventional and non-conventional threats.
"The COAS also praised them for their high morale and indomitable spirit," the ISPR added.

@The Eagle What threat are we hinting at here? Is that USA in Afghanistan? India or internal political thugs wanting to turn rogue?

We will have to look at it in broader aspects.

I will refer to recent statement by UN Chief, firstly....

The UN chief warned that any military confrontation between Pakistan and India would be a disaster of unmitigated proportions for both countries and for the whole world.

Then we have the threat in Afghanistan and so India as well. Combined the circumstances & developments around, hostile agents fueling unrest within Pakistan and India's desperation so we have every reason to be ready. The advise is a message that Pakistan is prepared & preparing further as well. Let's see what turns out to be next. I hope for the peace.

Adding to this great post we have now entered multiple new variants of hybrid war which are part and parcel of our current existence. These need to be taken into account.

Indian threat clearly exist. Intelligence data is not for public. Our weak response after abrogation is giving courage to India. India has her eyes set on our Kashmir and we know it. problem is big. in the last 20 years, our strategy against India was aggressive. now it's defensive. defensive mindset can ruin countries. why there are peace offers from our side? what is changing on their side? are they secretly preparing for an all out war? after balakot, i don't think that Americans can stop Indians.
our relations with Arabs are now non existent. we only have one friend to support. they have whole world. I feel they want to do something again but they will do it silently. they are cowards and always attacks at night. atmosphere doesn't look suitable for talks. it looks more suitable for skirmish.

It can be summed up in two quotes "Are the courts functioning?-Churchill" And "society can survive with kufr (infidelity), but not injustice" -Hazrat Ali RA. If injustice prevails, society is bound to loose basis for economy, culture, values, morale, self-respect and every reason which makes people respected. Weak and dead bodies invite vultures. If somehow we make our justice system functional, everything would be alright. Rest, is all fire fighting.

Staying prepared for "changing threats" is part of the battle preparedness and can be even traced back to oldest field manuals. This preparedness is not a choice but a mandatory element in any modern military. However, we must keep talking about it each and everyday.

What'd you mean by this? Care to elaborate
They were in close contact with India. Americans wanted balakot to happen.under Trump administration, there was no way to stop India. Under this new Biden administration, there is still no way to stop India. Policy of America is to support India and not pakistan. We know that this nexus exists. India can never attack pakistan without permission from USA.

Old manual is the base but we have entered in the era of modern warfare. From jamming to anti radiation assets, everything is part of a larger game.

India is massively preparing for a major war with Pakistan…..they’re pretty much ready to pounce

Hopefully inshAllah this war will be the ghazwa e hind……india will finally learn its lesson this time and shall never get up again.
It will end all this hindutva extremism bullshit

Yeah and maybe BJ can pay attention to the persistent threat, and the job he is paid to do.

The nukes protect us from a large-scale conventional attack and/or invasion. Deterrence achieved.

Modernization of conventional systems (and particularly those from China) protect us from limited conventional attacks. Deterrence mostly achieved.

Neither Indian jets nor their invading tanks or nukes are killing our men, women, and children. Their proxies are. To defeat them, tactical solutions and internal CT/COIN ops are not enough. There is a MAJOR deterrence deficit here and the only way to fix it is to totally reorganize and modernize the intelligence community. Only by introducing the fear of consequences in the hearts of Doval and RAW directors can Pakistan hope to achieve deterrence in the subconventional / unconventional / gray zone realm. Without raising the cost, there is no deterrence, and therefore no peace and stability.

No troop training or statements can change the reality above. It requires daring, creativity, and opening up the IC to the absolute best and brightest civilian talent. None are currently available / can be reasonably expected by GHQ.

My 2c.

India will pounce on Pakistan its a matter of when. Our nuclear deterrence don’t mean shit and our conventional capabilities are below the level needed to sustain a conflict with India. Let’s not forget we rely on an external supply chain that can be cut of and India will have no issues.

IC is just fine for the main task at hand, which is to preserve the intetnal status quo. The System works just fine against mom ,dad, and the youth of this country.
Besides who cares about the external enemies or their minions in Pakistan.

These statements are for optics only. Nobody In power or their backers care about this country, certainly not this tall neutered one.
