Now this is an utter lie. Patwaris of Punjab are not being grilled. Criminals of KP, criminals of Sindh are not being grilled. All the corrupt mafias are safe. Only Nawaz Sharif's family is being scanned by this JIT. This is only a political mind game. It has nothing to do with accountability. Let's say Nawaz Sharif is disqualified in this case, so what? Will your JIT or your Holy Supreme Court be able to get all the money back from 'their tummies'? Has this Supreme Court taken out any 'maal-e-haraam' from the guts of Zardari and his cronies?
will jump at the chance to get power no matter the cost and do anything to cling on. We saw it in the 90's, we saw it in 2000's, and we see it today.
Respect the system, vote for mature politicians who can follow an agenda that helps the entire nation to grow economically. Anyone who does corruption, the system will clean him out.
Tell me one country that has progressed under a dictatorship.
Elected officials aren't called "jumping on the chance", that's what military dictators do! Witout a vote, they find a fake reason to "jump on the opportunity". Elected officials follow a system based on people's vote. Its a hard concept for many like you in Pakistan. Allow me to spell it properly "V.O.T.E", aka, people's right to chose who can govern them. Not something a few generals can decide for 200 million people.
If someone you don't know, bought you clothes without knowing you and force you to wear them, would you like it? Its the same concept, only has more damage, in terms of military deciding for the people's lives and how to run people's country.
This is the actual dilemma, DJ. The system itself is corrupt and criminal. Judiciary is the root cause of all evil. Where will you go for justice and accountability then?
At least in my country, a 'vote' is like faith of people on sale. You can buy votes, snatch votes using money and force. So 'vote' is just a molested concept. Voting molestation aka election will get us perverted political criminals.
I hope a military take over in Pakistan will give us a technocratic government under the COAS as Chief Executive, as it was under Gen. Zia. This is what Pakistan needs urgently. We want educated, competent persons in government, we don't want this Jahil flock of political mafia above our heads.
The Army cannot and will not intervene in politics anymore, it just doesnt have neither the inclination or the ability to run the country, fight the insurgency and defend the borders. The awam is going to shit talk the Army in any case. What democracy man? Here people can't spell or pronounce democracy and you want to give this to them.

It's a dictatorship of sorts. A one-party system. Pretty hit-or-miss on their success though. Both China and Vietnam are having good fortunes right now because of structural reforms, and Cuba is making progress towards liberalization too, but others like North Korea? A success in propping up the state, a failure at basically everything else. East Germany, Hungary, the Soviet Union, Poland, South Yemen, Yugoslavia sans Tito, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Libya, I could go on with the failures but this list would get big quick.
In general, barring some benevolent ones like Tito in Yugoslavia or Kagame in Rwanda one-party systems and dictatorships - military, coup, personalist, family or otherwise - have been abject failures at best.

You guys need mature politicians who can talk their sh!t out in the parliament. Otherwise, your country will go back and there ain't no Chinese the second time. Its sad to see how much unnecessary drama there is to damage the system and bring in the military for no reason!
Easy there cowboy, the army cant run the government and fight at the same time.If Army does not have ability to defend or fight insurgency who has?
