I think a huge number of Afghans went to Pakistan. If many did not go, probably because they lived in countryside removed from war. At least Afghanistan is a large mountainous country, and they don't have a lot of places to go easily. Gazans could have easily gone to any of the Arab neighboring countries if life was as intolerable as in Ukraine or Syria or Lebanon or Libya. But I don't think it has happened.

The huge number was small as a percentage of the population. The only thing that drives people to migrate beyond borders is a loss of hope and severe demoralization which is what Ukraine suffered. It hasn't occurred yet in Gaza nor happened in Afghanistan. Majority of the Afghan population lived in the flat basin bordering Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan; travelling through here is not difficult.

Like I said several pages ago, all citizens are equal, some more equal than others. Just cause an Arab or South Asian has a piece of paper saying you are a citizen doesn't afford you the same status as a beautiful blue-eyed, blonde-haired individual holding that same paper.

Bro, I think closing the Suez Canal would hurt Egypt than helping Palestinians. Anything short of military support to the Palestinians would not alleviate this suffering in the immediate term. It would've been better if ATGMs that can take down those Israeli tanks, better drones can rain missiles on Israeli forces, and rockets and missiles that can pierce through Israeli air defenses would be provided to Palestinians. Military defeat on the ground would send the Israelis backing.

Alternative routes are uneconomical.
The entire world felt a major shock with inflated food prices just by the Russian Liberation War against Ukraine. That inflation still hasn't recovered. There is no alternative route for Russian and Ukrainian grain. Food inflation hit very hard in North America, with no recovery to date.

You are confusing a supply & demand problem with a transportation problem.

Price inflation was due to a large supply being removed from the market due to the war. Closing a transit route just enables others to take the opportunity to create another transit route, it doesn't remove the supply off the market. Their will be some inflation for transit costs, but it's not the same as Ukraine withholding its grain supplies entirely which did not even bring food prices to Armageddon levels at all. Changing shipping routes have way less effect than the second largest exporting stopping exports entirely. Over exaggeration.
