This doesn't make sense. Egypt is complicit in Israel's blockade of Gaza. The least it can do is lift that blockade to enable civilians to flee Gaza and for vital humanitarian aid to enter Gaza after Israel cut off water and electricity to the 2 million civilians living there.

Not to defend them but they signed treaties and have to abide by those, Egypt has its own challenges to cope with.
What they could do is passing more "grain" under the table and proping up Gaza to selfsustainibility as much is possible and maybe they do that, we do not know as it should be, at the end all these weapons and materials to resistance did not come from thin air.

Only on the surface. How do you think all that stuff is getting to Hamas? They hardly make an effort to get rid of all the tunnels.

Don't forget it's not as easy as typing it on a forum. There are a lot of heavy implications to the diplomacy and peace treaty that Egypt is bound by and can't be ignored on a whim.

That's the problem. They flee and abandon Gaza who do you think will swoop in and take over and claim more territory? Then they won't allow them back just like all the refugees from 48. Precarious situation, need to be extremely careful making decisions like that.

Have they? Hamas does not speak for all Palestinians. Conflating Palestine with Hamas is wrong. How far removed from the violence are you? Easy to talk about death and fighting when you are comfortable and safe. Have the civilians who are dying and suffering been given a choice?

The peace treaty you signed with Israel does not stipulate you have to blockade Gaza and be complicit in mass starvation of 2 million Palestinian civilians living there. That blockade only started when Hamas took over Gaza, so you are clearly wrong there.

I understand that risk, but the risk of 2 million civilians being massacred is greater than that.
