If you look at things realistically, Hamas will not be able to win this war, but the Gaza Strip will most likely now leave many residents and it will cease to be Palestinian territory. The Israeli leadership announced that there would be no negotiations with Hamas and that it would be destroyed.

How many IDF troops do you think are required to occupy and annex the entirety of Gaza, with 2 million Palestinians? This will hugely reduce IDF forces that can be stationed in West Bank and on Lebanon border.

Will they suddenly love their occupier and no longer try to resist and take up arms?

If they live under Israeli rule, will they have full and equal voting rights? If not, they will be added to the apartheid regime.
