With the exception of Ireland, the is a shameful silence in Western countries on the plight of innocent Palestinians.

Jordan (King Hussein) has been a CIA stooge since 50s so wasn't a player. Libya was never a real power. Qaddafi was always half crazy and its military useless (living in his tent and female bodygurads) . Egypt got bought by virtue of being addicted to the American aid machine and never getting off it. So it comes back to Syria and Iraq. I think if Saudi/Iran just voiced an opinion, let alone do anything material, it will change the dynamics significantly. For the first time since MBS got in, I felt he did something right that was beyond selfish.
His father was a rat, it's a rat family.

I have been saying for years that at least 10 muslim countries need to make a military alliance and it has to include
Egypt and Lebanon because of this day.

Those 10 Countries should get into the China- Russia block against Nato.

They've tried once or twice before, even appointed a Pakistani general to be the supreme commander, but unfortunately it fizzled out. Something like this takes A LOT of time, effort, money and logistics; something most likely none of the countries want to invest in and especially in dire, economic times.

Turkey had a closed indoor meeting of parliamentarians and what was discussed will not be released for the next 30 years.

Something major is cooking thats why US has two carrier battle group in the area.

Yeah, but I'm really not sure what my dear brother @Total Destruction is talking about - Egypt going to war and taking on the US navy?!?! I have no idea where that came from. We just completed exercise Bright Star barely a month ago which is the largest military exercise in the world and sponsored by the United States which has a huge relationship with Egypt. Not only would a skirmish with the US navy be completely foolish, but to go to war with the only major superpower that can practically destroy any country in the world is dumbfounding.

We like to think we're strong enough to be able to defend ourselves with every single bone in our body, but let's stay grounded.

Hamas didn't try to get this solved diplomatically. They attacked civilians, party goers. So they are clearly a threat for the civilized world.

A two state solution, or a separate land parcel for the Gazans away from Israel should work. The problem with a 2 state solution is that Hamas can just regroup, get resupplied, and attack again.

Gaza lives under a perennial blockade of sorts, because they keep attacking Israel. And Israel keeps poking them via new settler colonies. This is not sustainable.

Firstly, there is no dichotomy between Hamas and W. Bank Palestinians. Yes, they had a power struggle in Gaza 15+ years ago but it is only a gradient of difference when it comes to dealing with Israel; and you can include the Israeli-Arab citizens in that equation--remember how they violently revolted against Israel barely 1-2 years ago?

Hamas is the brutalized version of Palestinians because Hamas can answer Israeli terror with terror. Israelis kill civilians hiding behind a façade of civility--using court orders to evict and when the dispossessed react, Israelis kill them. The W. Bank Palestinians can't do much about that but Hamas can and Hamas does!!

To believe that Hamas is different from other non-Gaza Palestinians is a huge fallacy--perhaps it is driven by a strategy to Divide and Conquer.
