i'm surprised that only 3 agreements have been made and not more. I'm sure ties with China will be broader and deeper the more Turkey, step by step, shifts away from the US (due to 'coup' attempt by Gulenists who were supported by the CIA) to Russia and east. Point of no return has been passed regarding US ties and from now on it shound't be farfetched to expect that military and (geo)political ties with the US/Nato will slowly decrease while ties with Russia and China will increase in the coming years/decades. Especially Pakistan can play a constructive role in stimulating partnership/co-operation between China-Pakistan-Turkey. Hence the focus of the Turkish media about the G20 is more aimed at the Erdogan-Putin meeting than other items.
There is no reason for pragmatic economic relations not to improve beyond current levels.
But, geopolitically, China and Turkey (other than the two countries very much indifference, strategically) stand on opposite grounds basically at about everything. But, I can identify the greatest hurdle as being Turkey's support and harboring of radical Uighur elements. If it is to have deeper relationship with China, Turkey (its government, to be exact, which might be just a passing note on history) needs to give up on ethno-sectarian policies that endangers China's interests.
It is still fresh to my memory of Turkey being engaged in fake passport scheme in Southeast Asia to transport Chinese Uighur nationals to Turkey to be the moved to Syria.
It is also a fact that Turkey supported terrorists groups now fighting under Al-Nusra converted FSA (Sultan Murad etc.) employ hundreds of Uighur terrorists, fighting the Syrian government. That's no more different than China, theoretically, supporting PKK.
No sane government will make a good partner a country that are openly engaged in terrorist activities.
If this greatest hurdle can be overcome, then, deeper relations can be thought of.
Otherwise, it is just rhetoric and picture reading.
Of course, our deep differences in terms of Syria will continue as China recognizes and supports legitimate Assad government.
Realistically and factually, China's greatest global ally is Russia. This was Mr. Putin's 16th meeting with President Xi since 2013.

China keeps pressuring on South Korea on THAAD deployment.
Xi tells Park China opposes deployment of THAAD in ROK
September 05, 2016, People's Daily
HANGZHOU, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- China opposes the U.S. deployment of THAAD anti-missile system in the Republic of Korea (ROK), President Xi Jinping told ROK President Park Geun-hye on Monday.
"Mishandling the issue is not conducive to strategic stability in the region, and could intensify conflicts," Xi said in Hangzhou.
Xi reaffirmed China's commitment to realizing denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, safeguarding peace and stability of the peninsula, and solving relevant issues through dialogue and consultation.
He urged adhering to the six-party talks platform, addressing the concern of various parties in a comprehensive and balanced way, treating both symptoms and root causes, and realizing long-term peace and stability in the Peninsula.
Calling China and the ROK "close neighbors with broad common interests," Xi said both sides share long-term interests in their common development and regional peace.
The Chinese president commended "leapfrog development" of bilateral ties and the great benefits brought to people on both sides, after the two countries established diplomatic relations 24 years ago.
China and the ROK should cherish their political mutual trust, safeguard their cooperative foundations, and overcome difficulties and challenges, in order to put bilateral ties on the right track toward stable and healthy development, Xi said.
"China is willing to work with the ROK to better protect and advance their hard-won ties," he said, while expressing hopes that the two countries strive to "expand cooperative and positive elements and put lid on negative ones."
He said both countries should respect each other's core interests, to ensure bilateral ties go "stable and afar."
They should also seek common grounds while shelving differences to cultivate a favorable environment for common development, and strengthen cooperation on regional and global issues to bolster common interests, Xi said.
China is ready to deepen cooperation with the ROK under multilateral frameworks, and step up coordination on hot spot issues, he said.
