A few attacks in BD and many countries will refuse to play in BD. They already showed grave concern regarding the attacks on bloggers.
Yes. That's why we must make sure that such things don't happen in BD. Pakistan should try to stop terrorist attacks in their soil too. Then I'm sure other countries including BD cricket team will be touring Pakistan.

Wrongly convicted, that is our stance.
You didn't need to have a stance.

They had to stop rebellion
Yeah...the rebels are those who want their language to be recognized, the rebels are those who spoke up against the income disparity between the two wings. The rebels are rose who weren't allowed to form govt despite winning elections fair and square. The likes of Ayub, Yahya and Bhutto are saints.

I have no regret on what treatment was given to mukti supporters

Yeah that's why you got what you deserve. The humiliation of the biggest surrender since WW2. Congrats.

Interesting question. Let me try to answer. But before that let me also tell you that I fully support our current government (Sheikh Hasina's Govt.) because of all the advancements are going on.

I have personally met a lot of Pakistani people as I lived in the UK for few years. And I found them people just us, however, I found Pakistani people a bit less rational. I hope, I've chosen the right word "less rational". I came to know that they learn from their history books in schools that India is the country which accelerated the Bangladeshi Independent War movement which is far away from the real truth. It was then Pakistani government who ignited the conflict. If you look at the general election of 1970 then you would see the point I am trying to make. Also, another big point is discrimination. I read an statistical data where it says that 1 out of 10 major ranked officials were from the East Pakistan and 9 from West whereas 55% of the population back then was from the East. It was almost the same in other government jobs too. If you look at the building of infrastructure then you would see the same discrimination happened. More dams, bridges, roads were built in the West than in the East.

Previously, like in 2000 or before, people of Bangladesh were not that conscious. They were more religiously charged than being factual. But the current generation is learning these truths. Now a lot of us truly demand an official apology from Pakistani government. Until we are getting such a statement, I can assure you that we, normal Bangladeshis will hardly see Pakistan as a friendly country. It's mainly because of the bitter past we share. We are not also seeing active role from normal people except that Imran Khan guy who once said something in favour of this issue. So, you tell me, why would we like such a nation which doesn't recognize the "GENOCIDE"?

I do not mean to hurt anyone. I just opened myself up for the sake of answering this question. Peace out guys.

PS: Pakistan didn't even send their cricket team to Bangladesh whereas they were supposed to send :(
Brother you are ill informed.what ever you wrote is factually wrong.Give a proof or apologize for distorting the truth.

The thread starter should really focus on Pakistan - Fiji relations as compared to Pak - Bongla relations. There is more future in that than Pak - Bongla relations.

It is considered a past and we have no intentions of looking back but only forward.
Pak - Bongla relations :partay: or
Pak - Bugla relations :D or
Pak - Bonga relations:P

The rebels took arms against the state
What the politicians did on language was wrong but no country tolerates threat to its existence

Not having nukes kind of mess things up for you when your own population sides with the enemy

. .
The rebels took arms to save their and their loved ones life from an oppressive state.
It all started with the natural catastrophe the Bhola cyclone which got exploited and shit went south after that

I think we shouldn't be wasting more time on discussing these things anymore, hopefully we've better things to do. LOL!

What did you do before the rebels took arms? What was done to take care of huge income disparity? Sending military to take care of those speaks about these issues? We were robbed of 24 years....then again 4 more years by incompetent Mujib administration then 10 years by idiot Ershad administration. If those years were productive for the country then where would the country be today?

Yeah....it was declared the deadliest natural disaster of last century. And our beloved drunkard president and the king of orgies Yahya Khan went to visit China instead of doing anything to help the people affected.

Pakistan has been making every effort to stop attacks on its soil however it's increasingly difficult due to an unstable neighbouring country such as Afghanistan. The Afghan war has been pushed into Pakistan. Need much stricter better manage borders which unfortunatly does not exist on the Afghan side making the task impossible.

Pakistan's biggest problem here I think is bad image. It will take time to improve that. Stop the attacks then it will tale several more years to rebuild image. Then international cricket will surely be back in Pakistan.

No team goes to tour at Pakistan. If it's in UAE then I think we should otherwise we should do what others do....unlike Pakistan we do get home series'

Umm?

I don't think anyone in BD expects British Pakistanis to apologize. I don't think anyone wants Pakistani people to apologize. What we want is a formal apology from Pakistani govt which would help to improve the relation. But which is something you're not gonna do. So relation will remain as it is. Cold but not hostile.

How about you apologise first for trying to exterminate non Bengalis in 1971?

The rebels took arms to save their and their loved ones life from an oppressive state.

The rebels started the oppression by killing non Bengalis purely for not being Bengali. So the Pakistani military did the same to the Bengalis. Don't cry victim when the enemy does the job better.

Apologize to whom? They don't concern Pakistan. Pakistan doesn't want to take them back either.

Aye. This explains why Pakistan has become what it is right now. Arrogance and ignorance will only serve to take you downwards. And you are even proud of your arrogance and ignorance. So the downfall will be fast. Can't we see it from Pakistan's perspective? Pakistan used to be more developed than India and Bangladesh(which used to be like beggars back then) in late 1990's to early 2000's. And look at it now. A country known for terrorism, a country known for hiding Bin Laden....your nominal gdp per capita fell behind India and the gap is only widening. And they way things are going in a couple of years it may fall behind Bangladesh. Your exports are falling. Pakistan has become a country which despite having nukes gets strikes by drones of foreign country. Your sovereignty isn't even respected. People don't feel safe in your country. They don't even come to play cricket games. Can you see what your country has devolved into in the last couple decades? Ignorance my boy and arrogance. If you can't find the faults in yourself and keep blaming others for it then you'll never improve. Don't let your hatred take away your common sense. Blind nationalism won't get you anywhere.

PS: Sorry for bringing off topic things up. You can report this post. It will probably be deleted along with your post. Remember you were the one who used vulgar language and disrespected another country. What I said is surely unpleasant but I doubt you'll find any disrespect or lie. But this post along with yours will be deleted anyway.

Yes it does. In 1971 Bengali terrorists started killing Western Pakistanis. This is what triggered the Pakistani military to start it's own genocide in response.

I'm not talking about Biharis, but on the topic of Biharis, we took in 200,000 of them. We most certainly care, but at the end of the day they are part of your country and you need to treat them properly.
