Frustrated doctors explaining their frustration

What a lame argument. You think there are no lazy arses in western countries? You think people don't abuse their power any where else in the world? The difference is such incidents are tightly controlled and not shown on TV like a live circus. Just because the corrupt people have ruined the institutions does not mean that we lack highly talented honest people in the country. So just STFU
most of the western countries have far better health care delivery system then pak. if you dont know the facts thein its your fault.secondly learn some manners to talk on a forum and if you dont have then STFU. putting you on ignore list.

I agree there is shortage of equipment and medicine, our govt officers and bureaucracy are major hurdle in our low spending on health and education.I wish time come when we also pay 3lakh to trainee doctors but for this our economy should become strong and unnecessary expenses done on bureaucracy and govt secretaries who even use govt facilities after retirement should be ended.Doctors are no doubt our asset and we should respect them but they should also ensure quality and minimum standards are met for treatment of patients. If anyone want to become very rich he should do business as medical doctor is not a field to become billionaire, it is no doubt good earning profession but not for becoming super rich.

In u.k almost half of pay of doctor is cut for taxation to govt but here in Pakistan private hospital doctors not pay such taxes and earning huge money. You will never find much doctors becoming billionaire even in u.k, the are paid well and remain in upper middle class. If anyone want to become much rich he should go for business
when a doctor has to see 150 patients in 6 hours plus emergencies he cant set any minimum standards for the patient treatment. why? because it s not humanly possible. such type of "donkey work" is not done anywhere in developed world. people should not expect a happy and smiling doctor taking complete history and doing complete examination of every patient when he has to see more then hundred patients in few hours. there are very few who opted to join this field to become billionaire. majority aims for a happy comfortable respectful living in a medical profession. but in pakistan there is no comfort and respect and pays are way too low.
as far as private set up is concerned they are just the tip of the iceberg. the young doctors who join such set ups get only 30000-40000 rs.only the top few consultants are making lot of money but they are few.

doctors share very similar problems in sub continent. rather we share similar problems almost in every field.

These are i guess mbbs doctors but i am undergoing training in neurology in a college serving some 4 crore ppl. Situation is pathetic to say the least. We are to work like donkeys, no holiday off in a week 7*365.

Person criticizing doctors should work like this and then think.

i dont know what's wrong with out medical system. who was the first idiot who brought this system of working in long shifts of about 36hours at a stretch without getting any weekends. no human can work like this at his maximum potential . that too in a profession where one mistake can be disastrous for a patient. i dont know about india but in our set up one of the biggest hurdle in modernizing the medical system are the senior doctors themselves. they themselves have become too sadistic after going through all this crap that now they want their juniors to undergo the same punishment and mental trauma. i am sure that even in training if working hours of a doctor are reduced to 8-10 hours a day with weekends he will become a better professional. he will give better results in academics as well in clinics. i have seen many of the trainee doctors getting into depression to this routine and not getting enough time or themselves and for their families. but senior doctors are suffer from a syndrome" ham be yahi kertay thay bulkay ham to pora pora hafta ghar nahi jatay thay ".

In private sector many doctors ask patients for unnecessary tests and operations particularly for child birth to earn money and some doctors also prescribe medicines of particular brands to get commissions from pharmaceutical companies so there are some problems here which needs to be fixed .I think we should also invest on prevention methods and awareness among public as much diseases here are caused merely due to ignorance of public so pressure on doctors for large number of patients are decreased

they are operating as mafia now just like blackmailers.

most of them graduated from Govt owned medical colleges that is getting MBBS degree without paying any fortune so they should consider this as a favor that Govt payed their tuition expenses so if they ain't earning much in first few years of their career than they shouldn't complain about it...no one goes into 6 figures salary directly...you have to earned it hard way!

I have a friend who is a doctor working in Hameed Latif in Lahore. And her work hours are f**ked up. She told me about how the works hours are tough and the load is extremely heavy. She told me that despite protest, no patient or work has been compromised. Its still on. The pay is very low compared to developed countries. The equipments are old and some don’t even work.
And she told me how the bosses higher up treat the juniors as if they are animals and have no life of their own or dont need any rest at all.

plus their is no pay for extra work hours.I have literally witnessed her being exhausted due to her work.

she was not happy when I asked about her PMDC being abolished.said this is not the change she voted for.

Lets face it, most people chose to become doctors not because they can serve the humanity and other BS like this. They venture into this money minting business so that they can earn big bucks and since these disgruntled or should I say unfortunate ones have fallen short of piling up fortunes, they are threatening to take their business elsewhere. Whether their pay cheques are big or small they at least should be grateful that they have jobs, there are people out there far more talented than these ingrates and all they get is unemployment.

@Mentee Plz share your wisdom on the topic.:smart:

i remember yousif raza gellani here

It takes money to leave at least 500k for PLAB and 2.5 million for USMLE those who have the resources do tend to leave. But most of them dont have that much money lying around to take these tests and try their luck.

I got beaten by a steel rod for not opting for mbbs. Even had a scar under my eye like the one with that takken three fighter, forgot his name. Not gonna do it even in Punar janam. As for the dakoos oh sorry daaktars well as I've said earlier that ilaka Sho carries more moral authority than these guinea pig specialists.

Acha dactars,,5 min me 500 lene wale ghaleez,,,Dont even need to read,,,i know what the absolutely ghairatmand n pak ppl here wud write,,,the same ppl who cudnt make it,,jinki khud ki ratti aukat nahi hai,,jinhone school college me bus maze kiye wo dusro ko judge karenge.wo bhi unko jinhone actually apne future ke liye, apne aim ken liye, apne family ke liye,,din rat mehnat ki.aur ab actually thankless logo ko help kar rhe hai,,,
Acha hai,,nikal bahar karo in dactars ko,,,inki itni himmat ki awaz utha di inhone.inko bhi bhaga do,,ye agar 8-9 saal padh ke darzan exam paas hoke dactar bane hai toh 1-2 saal padh ke aur kahi aur bhi ja sakte hai,,,bhagao inko.
Phir compounders, technicians se ilaz karwana,,,wo toh naturally ache log hai,,,baki sare pakistaniyo ki tarah.
Aur jo dactars in sab ke baad bhi ruk jaye unhe samjha dena ke Jab tak ye sare dusro pakistaniyo tarah corrupt aur mediocre nahi ban jate,,,tab tak inko chup rehna hai.
Btw tab tak bimar hone par hath jor kar India zaroor aate rehna. :D
