Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation have told French reporters that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Dassault have finalized Industrial agreements on production of Rafale fighter jet in India and disagreements over Production and Warranty has been resolved, with unique arrangements agreed upon by both companies .

HAL and Dassault both have softened their stand and both have agreed to take collectively responsibility of Rafale fighter jet manufactured in India. Trappier also confirmed that Indian air force (IAF) is extremely pleased with the new arrangement and have no objection to the new arrangement reached by two aero majors.

Sources close to idrw.org have confirmed that Rafale fighter jet produced by HAL will be monitored by Dassault representatives who will be stationed in India and will clear each aircraft on the quality department before aircraft is delivered to the user, which is IAF .

HAL and Dassault have also agreed upon tasks which will be accomplished by each company in the production of Rafale fighter jet in India. Trappier also confirmed that last hurdle is yet to be cleared which is finalization of the contract agreement with Indian Ministry of Defence, but was positive that Dassault will crack the deal with India for supply of 126 fighter jets for which negotiation has been going for last three years .
